This Ontario inn overlooks the Trent-Severn Canal and offers a fishing dock and boat rentals. The hotel offers access at the dock for guests and is within a 20-minute drive of Lake Rice.

Very handy location to visit family just outside of Campbellford. Quiet and clean, bed was very comfortable. If we were staying longer, we would have made use of the full-sized bar fridge/freezer and microwave: great bonuses!
10 miles from Ferris Provincial Park in Campbellford, Windswept on the Trent offers accommodations with access to a hot tub and steam room. With garden views, this accommodation provides a patio.

Windswept on the Trent is off the beaten path but well worth the effort. We were traveling through the area from Illinois so my daughter could try some horses and I found this property searching for highly rated places to stay. The property is beautiful. There were lots of water activities (swimming, kayaks, hot tub, etc.) although we didn't have the time for those on this trip. Next time we'll stay for 2 nights or more so we will have time to really enjoy the property. We stayed in the coach house which was perfect for my daughter and I. I was skeptical at first about the pull out sofa for her but it turned out to be as comfy as a bed. Elaine could not have been a kinder hostess. She was hosting some friends while we were there and they invited us to eat dinner with them and the other kids who were there included my daughter when they watched a movie after dinner. I could not have been happier with the accommodations and would definitely return if I am ever back in the area.
A hidden gem! A perfect rural town set in bucolic countryside amazingly close to the 401 and Toronto. Delightful setting on the Trent River. Enough amenities (like restaurants) to accommodate tourists but not enough to spoil the rural characters of the town.

The apartment is comfortable and cozy. There is a full kitchen, and the host leaves food for guests to make a delicious breakfast (eggs, milk, bread, pancake mix, cereal, etc). The property is on the banks of the historic Trent River, and the Trans-Canada hiking trail is just a short walk away. In the summer months, many of the nearby towns have charming local fairs, so there is lots to do in an around Campbellford. We will definitely come back.
The Inn was very clean and comfortable. The beds are memory foam and very comfy.
The property was large and right on the river. There were picnic tables and a dock to sit out by the river.
All the rooms had a river view so doesn't matter which room you get.
The owners are very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend it to anyone if you're in the Campbellford area overnight. I will stay there again.
This is a hidden gem with well-cared for rooms and friendly staff. I can't think of anything we didn't like about the location. I will definitely book again in the future and recommend it to anyone looking for accommodations in the Campbellford area.
The apartment is warm and cozy, with a sitting area and a kitchen. It is located in the charming town of Campbellford, on the Trent River. Ferris Prov Park is nearby. The host provides a fresh milk, eggs, bread, and other supplies for breakfast!
