In Cape Breton during the Celtic Colours Festival, a lot of the accommodations fill up quickly, so to find a suitable place to stay on the west coast was proving to be difficult. I checked out Duck Cove Inn on line, and saw some negative reviews, but then found some positive ones as well. I learned that the new owners had done some renovations, and we were pleased with the cleanliness of our room, and the view from our bedroom window. Gorgeous view of the Margaree River going out to the ocean!

Beautiful location with a quaint home. The atmosphere was lovely and just as I imagined. I felt very welcomed and loved hearing about the local information from the hosts. They were lovely and very good cooks!

Cozy, clean and well organized with thoughtful amenities. Shared kitchen, lounge and gym spaces. Rooms are large and comfortable. Private hot tubs are a nice touch. No staff present, but communication was excellent and even included a local shuttle service.
