Your staff is AHmazing, starting with Julia in the front office cabin. She was so sweet and welcoming and followed through on a couple of important requests that she said she would try to honor. She sent us an available microwave and a toaster so we could have breakfast in our room. (Unfortunately, there were no satisfactory vegan breakfast options.) The rest of the staff we met and clicked with were Valentina, who was lovely! She was nice enough to lend us a couple of bowls for our breakfast oatmeal, the gals in the restaurant - Sheila and Hannah, and the rest of the staff!
The shower was WONDERFUL! We loved our stay. Thank you!

The train that goes by was a little bit loud when you're trying to sleep.i wish there was a loud fan or better windows to block out the noise .

What can I say except for WOW! My husband and I were there in Sept/Oct and everywhere we turned was another magnificent view of a mountain, glacier, canyon, lake. We rented bikes and rode to Vermillion Lakes and beyond. We hiked up Johnston Canyon, we took easy and more challenging walks, and met people from around the world. We flew into Calgary, drove to Banff, then to Castle Junction and stayed in two places I would recommend - Johnston Canyon Lodge and Bungaloos and Castle Mountain Chalets. We had a great trip!

A wonderful spot for a family get-together.
A wonderful spot for a family get-together. We had 6 cabins, close to each other, very clean and big enough to be very comfortable. Kitchens had everything one could think of to prepare our meals. Lots of open space for children to run free and play safely without any worry about traffic. The Johnson Canyon hike just down the road is amazing but it is likely best not to plan to do it on a long weekend in the summer as crowded.

I can't say enough about the amazing staff!
I can't say enough about the amazing staff! Friendly, accommodating, and understanding. I went for the long weekend with my family that included my 2 year old granddaughter. We arrived a little early & though we were prepared to wait till check in time, we were told our unit was cleaned and we could get in right away. Since I had called ahead regarding sleeping options for the 2 year old, a playpen was there on arrival. I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of firewood left as well, as seeing more on the porch the next day. The only slight disappointment was finding out the hot tub was removed during covid. Other than that, it was an amazing, extremely comfortable stay.

Overall stay in this area is great than staying in the chain hotel for the purpose of enjoying the real Banff park style. This cabin area is convenient in driving to Lake Louise and Banff town. I wished my reservation on single cabin was granted as a dream came true, but when we checked in, the clerk handed us a second floor apartment room key. I questioned why not single cabin, but it is what it is. The apartment building was nice , but just not what I have been dreamed when I made the reservation.

Disliked · Our cabin wasn't cleaned before we checked in: hair in the shower, dirty floors, candy left under the gas stove, gas stove didn't work the first night and we had to let reception know so someone could come in to fix it for our 2nd night so we didn't have to freeze another night, light bulb hanging from the ceiling, cabin wasn't cleaned during our 2-day stay, the upper waterfall and ink pots paths were closed for construction and we were not notified at booking or when we hiked the path until we got to those trails (we stayed at Johnson Canyon because we wanted to see the upper falls and ink pots too), way too many tour buses with tourist going up and down the falls trail leading to congestion on the trail. Johnson Canyon hike has turned into a Disney Land type of place with lineups and way too many people on the trail at one time. I wouldn't recommend going or staying there.

This is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking for a private cabin, close to the mountains and the adventurous you can have there. It is also great if you travel with your furkids. You have your own parking spot, kitchenette, and bathroom with a wee tub for hot soaks at the end of a long, active day. The bed is a bit soft and a bit small, since it is only a full size bed. Overall, a great place to stay and we would stay again.

Location is fantastic for Johnston Canyon waterfalls. We set off at 08:00 and walked up to the third waterfall in less than 1 hour. No queues for the best photo shots.
Then showered, then paid for a decent hot breakfast at the on site cafe. Then key drop check out by 11:00.
Not cheap, but nothing is in the Banff region.
We were so pleased we chose this cabin accommodation instead of a generic motel room for the same price in crowded Banff.
Located around 20 minutes from the town of Banff and much closer to a few of the more famous sites like Johnston Canyon and Sunshine Meadows. It's also located very close to a nice little nature trail along the Bow River. If you follow this trail in the morning and at dusk it's possible to see some wildlife. We saw Loons and Elk. The trail is off of a small parking lot next to the railroad. Our room had a jacuzzi which we thoroughly enjoyed!
