CanadaGreat value for money and the host is very sweet. You'll literally be staying in her house. Bonus if you like vintage decor because it's a living museum. We got upgraded for free to a bigger room with an en suite. Well stocked towels, extra blankets, everything was very clean. Wifi is included. Nice that the windows have a bug screen so that we can circulate air during the night (not sure if a fan will be included during summer stays but it was cool enough in the fall). We had a simple breakfast (granola, yoghurt, tea/coffee, eggs, toast) with the lovely host . This location is also close to wells gray provincial park that has nice hiking trails. The neighbourhood is also very safe and we were pleasantly surprised by how no one seems to lock their doors

I had an amazing stay at the cottage. Everything was perfect and exceeded my expectations. The complimentary boats and kayaks were a great addition, along with the playground and recreational facilities. There were plenty of barbecues available, and the hiking trails were absolutely beautiful. The restaurant offered great quality food, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. Really enjoyed the food at the Hungry Hiker Cafe. Service was great. Did not enjoy the food at the Caboose restaurant although it looked nice from the outside. The service was slow and the breakfast potatoes were horrible. She did offer to cook some fresh potatoes but why not serve fresh in the first place. A refill of coffee costs $3 so 2 cups is $6. We enjoyed our stay in Clearwater. We loved going to see the waterfalls. We only got to see the 6 "main" falls. Take your time, as some are a bit of a hike, but nothing too strenuous. We enjoyed the Happy Hiker and the Hop 'n' Hog Restaurants. The Happy Hiker had great service and a very good diner menu. At the Hop 'N' Hog the portions are huge. Bring an appetite. Our meal was delicious. We were sorry to have missed a tour of Clearwater Lake. We arrived after the last tour was gone. We also rand out of time to do any rafting. We loved the area.
We loved the area. The drive through Wells Grey park to Clearwater lake was stunning and due to rain earlier in the week, the waterfalls were amazing. The information center was very helpful. The gateway to Wells Grey Park, Clearwater is a great base camp to explore the numerous waterfalls, river rafting adventures, fishing spots and hiking/biking in the surrounding area. The people have always been friendly and welcoming with my countless visits and the scenery spectacular. Helmcken Falls is a major highlight in Wells Grey Park. Check in at the visitor center to really get a grasp of everything this place has to offer! The main town has good amenities for food, groceries, gas and more. Waterfalls in nearby Regional Park ( I think there were 4 of them to see. All were beautiful on their own. Only one needed like 1-hour + hike, rest were closer to the road. Can be seen in half a day easily, before you need to continue driving East or West.Guest review byayratUnited States

From the outside it looked like a motel, but the room was completely new and had hotel quality. I assume that is the reason why it is upgraded from motel to hotel, now.
