This lodge is such a hidden gem. I wanted to book the Moraine Lake lodge, but they were sold out, so I booked the sister lodge. They offer a free shuttle to the Moraine lake and so many other amenities. It's a short drive to lake Louise and all the scenery in Yoho national park. The complimentary breakfast is some of the best breakfasts I've ever had.

We only stayed one night but it was an exceptional experience. We had high tea and hot chocolate. The restaurant was great and we took a dip in the pool and hot tub. Beds and accommodations were great! Would highly recommend!

Staff at this property are excellent, friendly, and well trained. The pool is fantastic, and the breakfast is extremely good, not fancy, just very good and consistently delicious. I love the architecture of the lobby and pool, and pasta restaurant on the inside, very well thought out and unique. Room looks dated circa 1980, but I happen to like the older furniture, carpet, and layout, reminds me of happy times, but compared to the Post across the street (where I usually stay, when in the area, though more expensive), it is dated and could use a refresh for the price range.
Just half a mile from Lake Louise, Paradise Lodge and Bungalows offers spacious lodge rooms and fully equipped cabins. The property is surrounded by gardens which include a barbecue and a playground.

Loved our stay at Paradise Lodge and Bungalow. Perfect location. A short drive to the town of Lake Louise and to the Lake itself. The cabins are so cute. We shared a two bedroom cabin with another couple and It exceeded our expectations. One room is in the front, the other is in the back so there is plenty of privacy. Highly recommend!
Set amid the Canadian Rockies in Banff National Park, this hostel features an on-site cafe and 2 self-catering guest kitchens. It includes private storage for guests and acts as a ski pass vendor.

I stayed at Cathedral Mountain Lodge because it was the closest place to Lake O’Hara. I had managed to win a much coveted bus ticket, and this was the perfect place to stay the night before. Absolutely loved staying at the lodge, views of mountains all around.
The only thing I don’t like about this area is the highway. People drive way too fast, it’s sometimes quite scary!

Emerald Lake Lodge was a fabulous stay but even if you don't get to experience a roaring fire in your lake side room, the hiking trails even around the lake are beautiful!! The Natural Bridge over Kicking Horse pass is on the same road, and is a Must See! The Town of Field is a quaint little village that is great for photos of train tracks and often Elk.
Takkaka Falls are also just before the Village of Field exit. Although the road to the parking lot is closed until spring and its like a 16 km trek in! So go in the summer for sure to get right up to the falls! They are stunning!

We liked the room but the stairs up to our unit were extremely steep when carrying luggage. Our balcony overlooking Emerald Lake was lovely but smoky while we were there. We took our own fan which was good advice from my sister. It was very hot at that time. Once the tourists left the lake around 5 pm it became very peaceful. Enjoyed walking around the resort in the evening. It was too hot to use the wood burning fireplace. Would love to come back to stay in some of the other cabins.

We stayed at the Emerald Lake Lodge outside of Field.
We stayed at the Emerald Lake Lodge outside of Field. Notwithstanding this, the village itself is quite interesting. To stay in the village overnight you have to be impervious to train noise. The mountains surrounding Field and the attractions close by are outstanding. It's beauty surpasses Lake Louise, in my opinion.

Beautful lodge and should have taken advantage of the hiking trails nearby (wasn’t aware of them prior to arriving) - more information on the website on this would be good.
we loved the fire place by the river and made great use of this.
Quaint village and nice facility snuggled into the mountains. Great restaurant a 2 minute walk. Nice bedrooms. With a look around the kitchen you can find most things you would need in a kitchen. Luke was helpful and welcoming.
We loved that we had a complete apartment with our own entrance. The kitchen was fully equipped. The bed was very comfortable. Field is a cute little town and perfectly located for Yoho NP and also good for Banff NP.
Amazing location, lakeside cabin. Away from wifi and mobile coverage apart from in main building. Excellent food. Easy access to Icefields Parkway, Lake Louise .
Would stay again
