The staff was very friendly and they went out of their way to open up the pool for our family to use, even though no other guests were planning on using the pool.
We went do do some walking in the woods. There are lots of trails up there and it is beautiful. The town is pleasant to putter in.
We visited in fall and it was only 6 degrees so cannot comment on the beaches.
Many of the restaurants are not open at this time of year so not a lot of choice for dinner.

Goderich is a beautiful little town.
Goderich is a beautiful little town. I was there for the Celtic Roots festival, which was excellent as usual ( apart from a torrential downpour on the last night!). The people are very friendly and helpful. There's a couple of great places for breakfast, and there are a number of historic sites worth visiting at least once.

Goderich was our first stop on our road trip, we kept going...
Goderich was our first stop on our road trip, we kept going up the the west coast the next day. We stayed a couple of hours at Goderich Main Beach (5 CAD/hour or 25 CAD for the day). It was super busy since it was a hot weekend but found a parking spot right away. The town also seems to have some festivals going on every weekend during the summer (classic car show the weekend we were there). There was also a little farmers/flea market on Sunday, which might be the same that is usually on Saturdays but maybe they just moved it a day because of the car show which took place at the same location. After the beach we went to the Menesetung Bridge and walked around a bit. But its a whole trail you can hike - we didn't had the time. Went to our hotel after and walked around the town square a bit and found a nice little Bistro directly at the square. Most of the stores (and some restaurants) were already closed (Saturday, around 8 pm).

I have always loved Goderich, Great location and great services. However the LCBO strike was on when we were there and there was NO WHERE to purchase a bottle of wine. I was surprised there was no wine store somewhere strange.

It is a lovely pretty town and I will go back as I didn’t have enough time to see the sights (It was cold and rainy the weekend I was there and so sight-seeing was less than idea.) Very interesting town centre (octagonal). Nearby Bayfield, a 20 minute drive, is also very pretty and deserving of a visit. The G2G (Goderich to Guelph) trail head is in Goderich if you want to do a rail trail walk (i.e. flat).

We always stay at this property whenever in Goderich. The rooms are updated and very clean. The beds are comfy and the staff are very polite and friendly. They also have an indoor pool which is nice, and the area is pretty Quiet.
the breakfast was okay. Would like a bit ore variety but realize not always feasible. The location of the hotel was great for our activities. Well within walking distance of anything we wished to do.
Excellent hotel, very friendly staff. Our room was very spacious and had a great view of the river. The hotel is located within a three minute drive from Goderich's downtown, very close to restaurants.
