The location is great, no breakfast but the Malahat chalet next door was great for dinner and breakfast.
The lodge needs a lot of work, facets in bathroom and soaker tub have issues, many ants inside. Air conditioner didn’t work. No screen on slider door so couldn’t leave the door open. The whole place is in need of some TLC.
Walls need washing and painting. It could be a five star stay with some work.

Our 2 night stay was absolutely superb! Jordanna and Maddie made our honeymoon couples massage in the day spa such a special treat. Thanks ladies. The restaurant staff and food were exceptional. Views of snow covered mountains and water were amazing! Could have stayed a lot longer!

Everything was good until one staff member entered our room and told us that we were supposed to be checked out after our 1 night. She questioned us about our 2 night stay told us we should have checked out that morning...it was a shock..my anxiety levels went through the roof. After that the girl was quite snotty towards my husband and I. I will be calling manager today..

Great location. Quiet but near all amenities. We could barely tell the host lived beside the suite.

Basement suite with beautiful walk out and terrace. We bundled up to watch the sunrise one morning. We weren’t there much as it was just a place to crash for us but it was great. There was some sound transfer from the suite above ours that woke us up each morning but otherwise a great stay.

The Kinsol Trestle and Malahat Skywalk are nearby and should be visited. Spectacle Lake is very close and great for short hikes. If driving to/from the Saanich Peninsula, take the small Brentwood Bay to Mill Bay BC ferry.

It's hard to answer this as Malahat refers to a stretch of highway rather than a city or town but it was beautiful. The highway is quite busy most of the time and it's easy to miss your turn offs but there are a lot of U-turn areas as well. There are a few lovely natural areas/lakes/parks in the area that are great for hiking and enjoying. A vehicle is needed but it's only a half hour or less into Victoria as well.

We took the bedside lamp and put it on the kitchen table to see our food. Also, be careful with the blinds as they opened easily however, they got stuck when trying to lower them. Bring slippers, the floor isn't as clean and most of it is tile.
Thank you

I liked the view very much.
I liked the view very much.
We had to keep the windows open as there was no air conditioning and the highway noise was intrusive,
I deplore the lack of hot water. I could not shower in ice cold water.

The view from our room was great, the room was quiet, clean and comfortable. The restaurant was very good. The food, the staff and the view from the dining room were great. There is no front desk at the motel, nobody to talk to. Our room door code didn't work so we phoned the number posted for help but nobody answered. We went over to the restaurant to get it resolved. The whole place needs a good clean-up outside and around the building.

The Eyrie is a special place in a wonderful location overlooking the Malahat and Finlayson Arm.
The staff were very friendly, welcoming and ready to help.
We were treated well during our birthday celebration dinner for two.
The standard room was modern, well-furnished and had a fine view.
The bed was very comfortable and cosey.
We enjoyed the pool though the water was on the cool side for November
Parking was available close to reception though this might be limited at busy times

A wonderful place for my girlfriends 40th, we loved the master suite and the peacefulness of the location. We’ve stayed in many of the top hotels on the island and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Villa Eyrie as one the best for the price and location.
Location is convenient for area and right off of highway.
Bungalows are older/dated, but clean, well maintained, and obviously cared for by owners.
It is a complete 1 bedroom and a nice change from a hotel room.
