Sointula – 2 hotels and places to stay

Facing the beachfront in Sointula, The Oceanfront Hotel features a terrace. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and an ATM, along with free WiFi throughout the property.

I loved the room with all its coziness and outdoor deck with blankies. I so appreciated all the comfort from the owners as well. I was grieving and they took their personal time to acknowledge that and comfort and pray for me. I shall be forever grateful. Thx ever so much.

Situated in Alert Bay in the Vancouver Island region, Cliff Haven on the Bay features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

The view was beautiful, and with weather conditions being very windy and rainy, the cottage was cozy and comfortable. The proximity to the beach, walking areas and limited shopping was perfect, as it was the Christmas holidays, and we felt like the only tourists in town! Our host was responsive to our every need as promised!

A recently renovated holiday home located in Alert Bay, Alert Bay Sweet Home features a garden. This property offers access to a balcony, free private parking and free WiFi.

No breakfast. The property is easy to find. There's a door code. The views are spectacular. The house is modest and has absolutely everything I need for comfort and pleasure. Again, the views are spectacular. Also Alert Bay is a quiet and beautiful place, with a lovely community.

I had a great stay here and the hosts Ian and Natasha made me feel at home from the very start. You cannot wish for a friendlier couple, they go above and beyond providing their guests with a personal experience (thanks for the mountain bike ride, Ian!).

It was quaint and peaceful. No restaurants or pubs.

It was quaint and peaceful. No restaurants or pubs. Bring some food. Rest can be purchased at the small co-op. Coffee shop for tea or coffee and breakfast if you wish is most excellent and affordable. We loved how little there was to do, we walked and biked all around taking pictures and chilling. Everyone was friendly. Beautiful sunsets.

Life in Sointula is as people should live.

Life in Sointula is as people should live. Chickens squawking, sheep bleating and no one gets upset if they have to wait a few seconds to pass a narrowing in the road for "traffic" - meaning a car - to clear. Anyone with an appreciation for "quirky" personalization, artisanship and meticulously kept yards well adorned with flowers will love Sointula. You are never away from nature, either the forest or the sea here.
