The few days we spent at Grandhotel Giessbach were truly like a dream. The hotel’s stunning natural scenery, historical architecture, and peaceful atmosphere captivated us from the very first moment. Everything was thoughtfully planned and flawless.
However, one of the most important details that made our stay so special was meeting Kris Jungo, who works at the Front Office. Kris was incredibly attentive, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. He made us feel right at home. He patiently answered all our questions and enhanced our vacation with his recommendations, making it much more enjoyable.
Kris’s professionalism and warmth were a wonderful reflection of Grandhotel Giessbach’s quality. Staying at this hotel is not only a peaceful getaway but also an opportunity to meet wonderful people.
We wholeheartedly thank the Grandhotel Giessbach team, and especially Kris, for this amazing experience. Hoping to see you again soon!

The location is charming with nice lake and mountain view. The restaurant itself is on lake side which gives great view while you are eating and another plus point is the kids play area. The food was decent with fresh ingredients.
Unfortunately the breakfast was somewhat limited in choice. The staffs were friendly and helpful.

Most restraunts are closed or offer toned down menu in off season, so check before going. We went in last week of March and found it difficult to find places to eat in Brienz area. We had to go to Interlaken most of them time.
The view is awsome.

It is a wonderful place, excellent for nice mountain walks or sit at the lake shore reading. The views are extraordinaire and all in all is a must if you want tranquility and clean air.
This said, if you are looking for resorts, American-style places, or party Brienz is not for you. You will find very good Swiss food restaurants and some pizza places, or you can easily buy your meal at Coop or Migros if you're on a tight budget: in such a little place, everything is at a short walk. And is nice and quiet by night. :)

Nine nights.
Nine nights. We had booked six nights originally but had another three days booked elsewhere but glad we added the extra three here. We had EURAIL and Swiss Passes and used them for the trip from Milan to Bienze, the ferry on both lakes several times and train twice to Lucerne and return. Also used it for our onward journey to Paris. Easy access to Jungfraujoch with these passes. Also used train to Lauterbrunnen and onto gondola and train ride from there. Also Rothorn bahn scenic railway (1st train of season June) and ferry for Giessbach Falls. The clouds hovering over the lake were stunning from our rooms and from breakfast room. With these passes no need for a car. There are also Brienze pass available at check-in for extra local discounts.

Sleepy town with little dinning options and attractions during my visit.
Not sure if it is the weather or time of the year. Not as exicting as i imagined. Interlaken would be a better stop to coummune between places.

A nice place for the travellers want to stay away from the busy cities like interlaken and Lucerne. Never the less well connected with both of places with a travel time of 30 minutes to 1 Hour by train. It’s must visit city alongwith the Rothorn Kulm. The lake is very nice and you can find food mart (COOP) very near to Brienz station along with local restaurants there.

Quiet location (except for the occasional train). Easy to find. Easy to park. Large, open-plan rooms with high ceilings. Full length balcony with table and chairs and open views towards mountains. Could comfortably accommodate 5 adults. Large kitchen and dining table. Recently renovated with new, easy to operate windows. Great location for exploring Interlaken and Meiringen (both around 10 minutes drive away).
Perfect location. Right in front of train station, and overlooks Lake Brienz itself. There's a kiosk with basic necessities plus 'coop' supermarket, an ATM and a few restaurants close by. Additionally, The location is right beside the popular steam train (Brienz Rothorn Bahn) that brings you up the mountain sightseeing.
The hotel was great! Room and bathroom very spacious and comfortable, and very clean! view of the lake lovely. Breakfast was very basic but bread and pastry fresh and nice. That hotel was a great surprise and such a lovely ladies in reception / restaurant.
The location is perfect, very near to grocery stores, the famous Lake Brienz you can wake up to every morning, near bus stop and boat. Very quiet. Clean. Everything needed in a house is provided. Spacious
The location is quiet and nice not far from the picturesque Brienz. Modern building near the local small village, interesting concept of "museum" together with hotel.
