This was the perfect place to stay while hiking in the Cimalmotto and Bosco Gurin area of Valle Maggia. It was on both the 313 and 312 bus routes up the valley so easy to get around without a car. Our host Pablo was so friendly and obliging. We brought our own food with us from the Coop in Cevio and we loved the warm cozy kitchen where we could eat. I rate this place 10 out of 10, not because of the gold plated taps and marble bathroom, but because it suited us perfectly as hikers.

The room is clean and tidy, the service attitude is very good, and there is free parking space. Breakfast is included and is very good. There is no air conditioner in the room, but it's not hot to sleep at night. Overall, the cost-effectiveness is high and I am very satisfied

The staff were wonderful, the bedroom and the hotel are historical, complete with creaky floors. The breakfast was simple continental, but completely sufficient. The hotel is in the second-to-last village in a dead-end valley at the very end of Switzerland. Only come here if you like quiet surroundings with lots of wilderness hiking possibilities.
