Picturesque mountain village, some houses date from 1400’s.
Picturesque mountain village, some houses date from 1400’s. Spectacular hill walking, hiking. Good footpaths. Switzerland is expensive but this area is worth a visit. Beautiful views, peaceful place with charming houses. We took long walks around Ernen and in neighboring towns. We used car service from Lake Como to Ernen and did the same from Ernen to Interlaken. Everything was very clean, moreover the spa was a great plus, it wass fully equipped. The personal of the hotel is so kind and are very attentive. The breakfast was very varied and consisted of local products, it was delicious. Super bathroom with underfloor heating and walk in shower. Easy outside front door parking. Ernen is a peaceful old village, has a supermarket, restaurants and fabulous hill walking. We ate in one night and the food was excellent. We had two breakfasts, but the second was interrupted by flies; the hotel made up picnic bags for us for the day to compensate. Excellent service.
