Les Diablerets was the best getaway destination. It was scenic, and quiet - even in the middle of ski season - and we loved everything about it.
Facing the Diablerets Massif, Hôtel Les Sources offers a quiet location next to a forest and a small river, 984 feet from Les Diablerets center and the nearest ski slope.

We stayed here for a night after skiing the nearby Glacier 3000. It had kind of an almost backpacker vibe (basic rooms), but location-wise, the property is excellent - a short walk into the village, although not much was open when we visited except for a local restaurant called La Potinière down the street, which had excellent food and good service.
Les Sources' breakfast buffet was very nice (the usual continental fare, bread, cheese, eggs, pastries, yogurt) and their Illy coffee machine made some of the best cappuccinos we had on the entire trip!
The staff was friendly but hands-off. You could pay extra for a set evening meal, and although there's no bar per se, we were able to order a couple of beers at the restaurant while one table of guests was finishing dinner.
If you like hiking, this is the right spot. There are plenty of hikes in the vicinity. We went to Glacier 3000, beautiful if the weather is nice. We also went to a nearby lake Arnensee, short but very nice hike. There is a shop in the village t where you can buy anything that you need to make a nice dinner.

This is a pleasant village nestled in a valley by a rushing stream. Located 2km from the village center is a tram to the top of a nearby pass. The tram passes from the Bern to the Valais, and the vistas from the tram alone are worth the trip. At the top is a small lake. Walking the trail around the lake is a good activity prior to eating at the Auberge du Barrage, locating just near the tram terminus. The Auberge offers delicious food and housemade juices and beers.

The best thing is the location. As we were with the dog we walk a nice path near Alpine river every morning. Gstaad is close by car (12 min to Gstaad Underground parking), the same all the rest of nice hiking points in near proximity. Short Walking distance to the Gsteig center where you can have nice evening meal. View from terrace is fantastic ! You can see Glacier from the main room :)
Big, separated spaces, good design, much cheeper than a hotel! First recommendation if you are looking for a quiet and beutiful place. A lot more than a Hotel room (fireplace and more) for a much lower price.
Hotel located close to all good hiking places, breakfast was simple but all fresh and very tasty. coffee were excellent. Rooms were very clean and looked renovated recently, all wood. Very nice
A wonderful oasis of calm in the wonderful alpine environment of Gsteig/Gstaad. The hosts exceed all expectations in terms of friendliness and service.
