Kandersteg is a really lovely valley and town - not as touristy as other places but really beautiful and charming. Easy travels whether on foot or from train and bus stops. Plenty of places to stop for coffee or buy a snack. Sunnbüel, Oeschinensee and Blausee are a must see. Such a cute little town to spend a couple of days in! I wish I had stayed more than a night, but at this time of year I'm not sure there would have been that much more to do if I were staying a week or something. Very nice and quiet region, perfect for relaxation. Breathtaking scenery .We had a pleasant and also challenging hike to the nearby Lake. Location is excellent too, just a short 10-15 min walk to the Kandersteg cable car station. There are coop and other small supermarkets nearby, all within walking distance. Garage was provided too. Private parking at the back of the property and situated in the middle of Kandersteg close to the likes of Oeschinensee, Blausee etc. A Coop or Volg is within easy walking distance.
