Built in the 1890s, this historic hotel was one of the first hotels in Lauterbrunnen. The family-run Hotel Staubbach offers panoramic views of the Staubbach Falls and Lauterbrunnen Valley.

Our stay was perfect! The room we were staying at had a balcony facing the entrance to the hotel, with the windows closed, we could not hear any noise from outside. The breakfast was very good, quite an extensive spread. Some plus points, there are some guests lounge, with lots of teas and coffees, which we could also take up to our room. Also, a fully equipped “picnic room”, where we can have our take out food, and even a microwave oven to heat up the food. The picnic room is very cosy, and looks so pretty too! There was no TV in the room, but there’s one in one of the guests lounge.

The breakfast was fantastic and it was free with the stay. If the fog wasn’t there, the view into the valley would have been amazing. The bathtub is a nice touch and so was the built in usb charging plugs.
Nestled between the magnificent mountains of Grindelwald, Hotel Restaurant Alpina is situated above the village with views of the Eiger Mountain, being very close to the train station.

The staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. The location near the train and bus station was convenient. And it was far enough away we couldn't hear them. The food in the restaurant was superb - the chef really had some interesting and delicious creations.

Very helpful with getting around town. The view from the balcony was stunning. Have coin operated washer/dryer. Staff was great. Much storage space for clothes and luggage. Could print tickets to the Jungfraujoch at the front desk.

Excellent location, close to the street so maybe a bit noisy, breakfast could be a bit more variety especially I stayed for 3 nights. Staffs are very friendly and helpful, room is cozy, would definitely recommend.
