Fantastic Stay at Holiday Inn Express Lucerne"
I had a wonderful stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Lucerne! From the moment I arrived, the staff were welcoming and friendly, making check-in a breeze. The room was modern, clean, and spacious, with comfortable bedding and great amenities like a mini-fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom was also spotless, and I loved the large shower with good water pressure.
The location is perfect—just a short walk from the train station, and easy access to the lake and the city center. I appreciated the complimentary breakfast each morning, which had a great selection of items, including fresh pastries, eggs, and cereals.
Overall, this hotel provided great value for money. The combination of comfort, cleanliness, and convenience made it a memorable experience. I would definitely stay here again when visiting Lucerne!

Great location, wonderful view, delicious breakfast
Stay at the historic, half-timbered Hotel Rebstock dating from the 14th century, surrounded by a lot of contemporary art, where the people of Lucerne too enjoy wining and dining.

The staff members were friendly and so helpful. They gave us info about the surrounding area and even gave passes for a boat ride. Breakfast was wonderful and even bought a piece of cake for one of our friends celebrating a birthday. Very close to transportation, restaurants, etc

Spent a week here enjoying the wonderful sights! We ate a lot of delicious food with so much variety- greek, italian, thai, swiss, french, etc. We walked daily and visited the lion monument, glacier garden, and meggenhorn castle to name a few. Enjoyed our stay in the middle of the city at the Magic Hotel amongst the shops and cafes. Lucerne is a beautiful city with kind people!

Its a relatively small city so can explore all the main attractions in 1/2 days. However, because of its location the city is well connected to other major cities in Switzerland such as Zurich. The city has lots of nice cafes, restaurants and bars.

One of the most beautiful cities in the world.
One of the most beautiful cities in the world. I was wondering how I might manage my life to move there for longer...A couple of cable cars away from fantastic skiing. A stunning medieval town, dotted with turn of the century palace hotels around a pristine lake. Ferries and swans milling around the lake. History, shopping, restaurants, theatres and concert halls. This is why I love living in Switzerland.

A unique and beautiful city.
A unique and beautiful city. The city wall and towers, the Old Town, Chapel Bridge, and so many other things to see and do. There is also the lake and the nearby Verkehrshaus transport museum. A fantastic place to visit.

I love Luzern.
I love Luzern. It's extremely beautiful with many stunning old buildings and structures. I love to stroll around. I stayed in the Hotel Altstadt Krone, a wonderful hotel on the Weinmarkt. Even when I went on excursions outside the area, I would find myself stopping on my way to the railway station to take photos and enjoy the atmosphere. I missed several trains because of this! ;))) It's so clean and there is a huge choice of accommodation and restaurants. The transport system is top class and there is a shopping centre underneath the railway station square. Everything you need for a journey is there. I was in Luzern over New Year and the centre was covered in magical lights. I felt on a different planet to my grim home city in England! Definitely come to Luzern, you won't regret it!

The town is pretty and has some beautiful churches.
The town is pretty and has some beautiful churches. The bridges across the town are atmospheric. The Historisches Museum Luzern is awful, more like a warehouse than a museum. There were a few very small Christmas markets.

We stayed at the Businesshotel Lux only one night on our way to North Europe. The hotel is only a short drive from Lucerne, a beautiful medieval city with covered bridges, historic buildings and lively squares. After a lovely sight-seeing tour we chilled on the Ufschötti Strand beach. They say " when in Switzerland do like the Swiss do" and they were all there relaxing under the trees on the lawn or on the large sandy beach. The Businesshotel Lux has free parking and a pleasant breakfast included.
Excellent front desk staff who were always willing to assist in any way. Gave us very good directions to the city. Very good breakfast. The hotel is located in a perfect spot on the river, with superb views and about a 5 minute walk to the old part of Lucerne. Staff were excellent. Had the best shower of all the hotels we stayed in during our 5 week trip to 4 countries.
Views are absolutely beautiful and so is the decor, I feel this hotel you get the beauty of Switzerland with the quiet and hills and snow of course and you’re only 10 minutes into town, decor is stunning, clean and comfortable. Staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much. Eggs at breakfast were perfect every morning.
Location is amazing, city reachable by foot along the lake, or with bus from across the streets (many buses). Parking for 20€ for 2 days right next to the hotel, very convenient since you can use your visitor card to get around. Relatively economic for Lucerne.
A very relaxing stay, about 20 minutes by bus into Lucerne. Bus stop right outside so very convenient. Air conditioning in room very welcome, lovely outside area for breakfast or evening drink. Good value for Swiss hotel prices, would stay again.
