Old house with a lot of charm. Manuela, the owner, who decorated the place with her heart is very helpful and a very nice host trying to facilitate your stay as much as possible (restaurants, trekking tips,…)

In the first room we stayed, the shower leaked and flooded part of the bedroom. The first room only had a thin netting curtain so the light woke us up early in the morning.
Then they moved us into an even smaller room that was very cramped. Here all the lights were on one switch so when turning off the main room light, the side lights next to the bed would turn off and vice versa. The room was very small. This accommodation was totally over priced.
Located directly at Lake Lugano in the centre of Morcote village, Albergo Ristorante della Posta features a lakeside restaurant and a private lake access. Free Wi-Fi is available.
Featuring quiet street views, Casa Angiolina - Holidays - Appartamento Dolce Letargo provides accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 12 km from Lugano Station.
The Hotel Acquarello is located in the Old Town of Lugano, right at the lower terminus of the funicular connecting the centre to the main railway station.

Very comfortable and nice hotel in the heart of Lugano, room very clean and quiet. The railway station is few steps away, it takes 5 minutes by foot (downhill) and 1 min with the cable car that is located just beside the the hotel entrance. I would definitely recommended the hotel for a very pleasant stay in Lugano!
Situated on the lake promenade near the traffic-free centre of Lugano, Hotel Walter Au Lac offers you rooms with superb lake views. WiFi is free of charge. All air-conditioned rooms are renovated.

Super cute hotel, very friendly staff, very clean everywhere, great breakfast with enough space between the tables. Excellent location and the view 😍
You must take a swim in the lake. Near the parking garage is a swimming platform. The lake is perfect. Don't test the water first, Don't dip a toe. Take a few steps back, run, jump high, Dive in a resurface a human reborn. Months latter I still think about that dive in the water in the most beautiful lake I have ever seen.
The town is expensive. But If your traveling through. Stop my kid love car spotting from the cafes.

It is a pearl of the Ticino area.
It is a pearl of the Ticino area. The park Scherrer in Morcote is great, the village is just lovely and the people are nice. Stroll around, and enjoy the views and the village. Later you can dine in Pizzeria della Torre.

Small village.
Small village.
Stayed during winter, so no restaurant was open or stores whatsoever. Also due to covid so I can't comment on that.
Else the views are beautiful around Morcote. There's this old structure where you go upstairs to reach a church. While going upstairs there are small gardens where you can rest and enjoy the view.

Morcote is a stunning medieval village with easy access to Lugano by boat or regular bus. There are flower bedecked board walks and some fabulous restaurants and cafes. I spent an idyllic stay wandering the paths and narrow winding paths and steps. You must climb the steps to the church to enjoy the spectacular view of the lake . Then walk down a track to the rear of the church to reach the Botanical Gardens. A Italianate terrace of gardens with statues pergola and if course more glorious views of the lake and useful Seats to rest whilst climbing steps. I enjoyed a swim in the lake each day and was pleased to catch a bus to return in the heat of the afternoon to my lovely tranquil Casa Angelina where I was able to use the garden to read and relax. Dont forget Italy is a 12 minute hop on the boat to Porto Ceresio where I happily enjoyed a glass of wine .

Morcote is the perfect place to enjoy the Lago di Lugano and the weather, food and hospitality of Ticino. Take a swim in the lake, hop on boat to tour the lake, hike up to Vico Morcote, enjoy the view from the church, and finish the day in one of the many restaurants with a glass of Merlot.

The situation of the hotel away from the hussel and bussel of the world, made the stay at the hotel special. The rooms were decorated with a good mix of old world and modern. The garden area was also a good area to relax. The hotel also has a lounge area, which means that you are not resrichted to your room.
Super nice and cozy house in the middle of the old parts of Morcote. We had the room on the top floor with a nice view over the lake. Very friendly and helpful host with lots of tips on what to do and where to go.
