Built in 1896 in the Art Nouveau style, the historic Jugendstilhotel Paxmontana, standing on a hill in a beautiful location in the Canton of Obwalden, has won many awards.

I loved the dining room with the breathtaking views. The food was exceptionally good. Great wine list. Lovely staff.

    We stayed here for 1 night with our dog. The town is very small but very cute. The mountains and its surroundings are beautiful. Highly recommend this hotel for a 1 night stay (especially during spring). Dinner at the restaurant was excellent! Service was great and food super delicious. Breakfast was okay, tasty but can't be compared with dinner.

    Great, authentic hotel with a long history. Right on the walls you can find different historical facts. Also good breakfast and clean spa. The location is just perfect! Train station and the lake are just a few minutes walk away, Zurich airport and all attractions an hour away by car. Highly recommend it! 👌🏼🤩

    Wonderful hotel really in front of the lake. Amazing staff very helpful and friendly that really make you feel like at home. Incredible food for dinner, it was a memorable dinner in front of the lake. A place to enjoy and return many times.
