One of the most beautiful places in Switzerland, that is not very much known to international travelers, which means cable car prices here are way cheaper than for example Mont Pilatus. It has everything, the lakes, majestic mountain peaks, secluded Seelisberg See, the historical background. The shape of Vierwaldstättersee makes it looking like a fjord from above. Perfect place!

Myself and my little dog were made to feel so welcome, the staff even keep a little box of dog treats behind the counter for their furry friends! The staff were also extremely friendly, and very accommodating of my poor German. The food and wine was delicious, and I slept very comfortably in the single room with the incredible mountain view. We had originally booked for the hotel next door which was much more expensive and did not have 24 hr check in and because our flight was very late and delayed, I’m really pleased we changed.
