The Art Nouveau-style Belvédère hotel in the car-free village Wengen enjoys an elevated position, a 5-minute walk from the centre, and offers magnificent views of the Jungfrau mountain and the...

Where do I even start, everything about the Grand Hotel Belvedere was perfection!! From the minute we arrived, we felt instantly welcome. We were greeted by very friendly staff and treated to a delicious welcome drink in the lounge. We then realised my husband had left his backpack on the train which had lots of valuables in it. The staff immediately contacted the train station and located the backpack and arranged for a staff member to collect it for us (thank goodness for the honest Swiss person who handed it in). With the crisis averted we settled into our beautiful hotel room and headed out to explore Wengen, but not before taking a moment to enjoy the breathtaking view from our balcony! We have travelled a lot and I don’t think I have ever experienced a hotel with staff like this. They made us feel like they were genuinely excited for us to be there and every encounter with every single staff member was a delight. They were helpful, happy, enthusiastic and so friendly. They also made our children feel very welcome and made an effort to engage with them. The rooms and bathrooms are absolutely divine. As an interior designer myself I was in awe of the design of the rooms and common spaces, the bar, restaurant and lounge were as beautiful as the rooms. The buffet breakfast was delicious and our dinner in the restaurant was also incredible. We absolutely loved Wengen and our experience at the Belvedere made our stay all the more enjoyable. This hotel and the staff are very special, thank you for going out of your way to make our stay so memorable, we will be back for sure.

Hotel Mürren Palace has a shared lounge, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Mürren.

Very nice hotel….but the town itself was very limited in commercial offerings….very boring shops and mediocre restaurants at extremely high prices. The best place in town was the supermarket.

The room is well located at the top of the valley and the second/third floors have a balcony so they have a wonderful view of the waterfalls and the landscape. The breakfast was very good with wide variety served in the hotel - comfortable seating and lovely friendly caring staff to serve ands assist with advice about the local area. Stunning location overall - at the top of the valley - a short walk in any direction has great views. A long walk and you are exploring new vistas and seeing new parts of the valley.

This place was a gem, away from the touristy side of lauterbrunnen it was right at the end of stechelberg and we had a view of the green hills and water falls around. The place was beautifully quiet and very old school like it has a basement kitchen and a dining room and even a lift for food. The place was very antiquey and had a very nice aura about it. We could also check in at anytime which was a bonus! Highly recommend staying here for some peace and quiet!

So this place is not a hotel or a hostel it's a mountain hut on the edge of town. With that in mind we found our room to be clean and comfortable with all the charm of a mountain hut. There are no food options here but there is an amazing kitchen and common room / dining area. There is also a restaurant about 1 minute walk away or take the bus to Lauterbrunnen for more food & drink options.

This place is for people who don't like to see other people :-). The chalet is located at the end of the road in Stechelberg, so you don't have much traffic. The hotel restaurant is about 50m from the chalet. The chalet itself has a terrace with unbeatable panoramic view of the mountains including Breithorn. This is an ideal place for relaxation or hiking or both. Highly recommended!

Location is close to the bus stop. It has almost everything you need to self cater. It was comfortable and warm. It had a great selection of TV channels. Including most of the UK mainstream channels.its lovely and quiet even though its is on the road to Stechelberg.
