I like the traditional decor. The facilities overall are excellent eg. the ski lockers, easy parking, pool and spa. The staff were excellent, always welcoming and super professional.

The staff went out of their way to meet all our needs. For example, our kids eat only vegan food. The kitchen staff provided special, tasty vegan meals for them every evening, based on their food preferences. I love everything about this hotel - the location, the cleanliness, the excellent breakfast, the friendly and helpful staff, the spaciousness and coziness of our room and the gorgeous view from the balcony!

We chose Surlej for the scenery, skiing and hiking and we enjoyed them all. Would recommend especially long walks around the lakes, local events and a visit to Silvaplana. We ate very well at the Pizzeria Margun and restaurant Mulets /Camping Silvaplana. Next time we will choose the accommodation more carefully.

Surlej is a great place for skiers and snowboarders.
Surlej is a great place for skiers and snowboarders. The mountains are spectacular, slopes are really well prepared and generally great for advanced skiers. There was a huge funpark for snow-freaks and an excellent ski school for kids. Many people did ski touring and off-piste riding, as well as paragliding. A free ski bus is a good option if you stay further from the cable car station. It must be also a wonderful place for hiking and I'm really curious to come back in summer time.
