Guest reviewWe loved our stay at Hotel Alex during our ski vacation. The location is excellent. The staff is very nice and helpful. The sauna and pool facilities were amazing after a day of skiing. The place felt very authentic Swiss and had a lot of charm. I would def return again.

Cozy Gem At the Foot of Matterhorn
A beautiful car-free village in the Swiss Alps, Zermatt is world-famous for its skiing and mountaineering qualities. Standing in the shadow of the impressive Matterhorn, this is a true Alpine paradise, popular with both celebrities and citizens of all nationalities.

I really Like the area, the town, the activities on offer, the selection of Hotels, restaurants, bars and of course shopping. We enjoyed the Gornergrat Train ride and sledge runs. Zermatt did not disappoint!
Zermatt did not disappoint! The town is pretty and very walkable. The ski area is huge and the view is spectacular. Snow condition/quality might not be the best, but since all non-yellow pistes are groomed, the skiing was good. The ability to ski into Italy when weather allows is also a plus. Pistes are in general not as challenging as those in the States but that works well for an intermediate skier like me.
