The staff organized for trips that required WeChat only bookings and found us drivers to take us around( less than tours). We comfortably saw a lot of things plus Huangshan mountain from one gate

Lovely little hotel on the old street, room was very comfortable. Bed was nice and comfy. A bit far from the mountain and the other old towns. The paper hand & bath towels were not very good at drying you off after the shower, other than that the room was very nice.

It was so relaxing especially during the weekdays with very few visitors. It was 2009 and very few people especially Americans knew about this quaint, ancient river town with is river and famous musician who entertained us everyday right from his place and made our stay even more enjoyable. The evenings were serene with the lights reflecting upon the river from the buildings. We stayed in this town longer than we had planned in the beginning. It was a favorite among the places we visited during our 37-day self-guided tour in China. I brought a best friend who equally enjoyed her stay.. We ate not only the camp food we brought along since we were on a train in between stops, but also ate at restaurants close by and prepared food offered along the river. it was easy walking around the city and along the river.. We didn’t take the Amal’s boat rides that were offers, although they would have been very relaxing as well.

It was a pleasure to stay in a hotel with Hui architecture. It is located in an alley that leads to the Tunxi Old Street so shopping is very convenient. On one end of Tunxi Old Street are many restaurants and on the other end is a bridge that leads to Liyang Old Street. The room we stayed in was spacious. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was clean with strong shower. Staff was friendly and helpful.
This was our favourite hotel so far in China! The couple that run the hotel are wonderful and all the staff that work there were very friendly and kind. Breakfast was delicious and our room was beautiful and clean. They were very helpful for recommendations and support during our stay.
Definitely stay here if you are in Huangshan.
Traditional old Chinese courtyard guesthouse right in the middle of the old town. Bookit if you want to immerse yourself in the old town. The building is 200 year old so don't expect the hotel chain room experience.
