Generally speaking, the hotel itself exceeded our expectations. Location of the hotel is very good. Rooms are big (rooms of hotels in old town area are typically very small, i spent a lot of time to find a hotel with rooms bigger than 15 sm, and we are happy with what we got), very clean, various (and good) choices for breakfast and free afternoon tea. I can say it's a good value of money.

I did not book with breakfast - had my own protein shakes however I was upgraded after extending my stay and the breakfast was incredible - so much choice in differing cultures. The Chef Mukesh Singh was very engaging, even brought me my coffee personally as they were closing, great service.
My room was more than I could have expected with so much attention to detail even in the desk drawer equipped with office supplies like gem-clips, scissors and file clips. So many details in the dressing room/walkin cupboard and the bath, wow!
Even the entrance, Lounge and walkways to the adjacent gym and pool are sublime.
As for the view: my huge window had clever curtaining ensuring by overlapping, there was no light creeping in through the usual time change, circadian rhythm the body goes through flying west to east... looking out across Tang Mall and watching the evening live Dynasty Show every night prompted me to actually get to the front of the stage and watch it live.
Location - there are many malls with western stores like Zara however the INTIME Mall adjacent to the hotel is a treat - especially the Lyften product store for salty snacks and the supermarket on the lower level is a dream of luscious produce however only Alipay or cash (not wechat pay) is accepted so also download Alipay for simplicity.
Front desk manager Harvey Wang just made my stay even more memorable: your care, professionalism and a greeting wherever you saw me was well received, as was my parting Xi'an gift, thank you Sir.
Sheraton Xi’an Hotel is located next to West 2nd Ring Road, a 5-minute drive from Xian Developing Zone of High Technology Industries.

The hotel was very nice. The rooms a bit outdated, especially the bathroom.
The breakfast was great, a big variation of food, European flavors but also Chinese flavors.
The hotel had a very cute doll which you could buy, a terracotta army cartoon like doll

Xi'an is one of the great places to visit.
Xi'an is one of the great places to visit. It was the centre of an empire for over a thousand years, so there is a lot to see.
Please try to see the 6,500-year-old Neolithic village less than 10km outside the city wall. Those who are perceptive will notice that the area was much warmer and wetter than it is today. Today's colder winters mean the bamboo rats that were part of the diet are no longer available. Colder means drier, so the river deer that used to be another food source are no longer around.
The Muslim Quarter is a must-visit. Go after dusk and sample the food. While you are in the area, see the Bell and Drum Tower, but make sure that you see the Great Mosque during the day. Walk on top of the city wall and check the small market areas scattered inside the city wall areas. The food is excellent, so sample the many different types of offerings. Get a good pair of walking shoes and keep moving. There are too many things to see in one trip but you can afford to miss a few and get them next time.
Visitors will probably enjoy the Tang Paradise theme park near the Big Goose Pagoda. It's like Disneyland without the rides. If you have kids, rent them Tang Dynasty costumes at one of the many rental places, grab the camera, and walk around. It is enjoyable to see people honouring their history and culture as the Chinese do. But it is more than that. Look around and see little kids live-streaming the laser and fountain stores to their grandparents in villages far from the city. There is something phenomenal about watching a five-year-old girl in a Tang Dynasty-era dress having a video call with a grandmother who could not imagine owning a telephone two decades ago.
Walk in the park and see the various social clubs that offer ethnic dancing, Tai Chi, and other activities. Interact with the locals as you try to understand how they live and think. China is a great country, and Xi'an is one of its great cities.

Was good to go to local read for food and markets.
Was good to go to local read for food and markets. The architecture, building to visit too. The Muslim quarter was super cool to try so many different foods too.
And our trip to the Terrocotta Warriors was an amazing day out.
Next time, we would download a money app, as even the smallest business does tap pay not credit cards, and even some don’t take cash.

A city with rich culture. Too many spots (historical sites). One of thing I want to recommend is watching 360 degree animation if you visit Xian Museum. Though only 15 minutes, it is breath-taken and so stunning.
People so nice and helpful. Food is wonderful. Like the noodle and different buns.

Xi'an is the ancient capital of China which lasted for 2 thousand years under the Tsang dynasty. It contains stunning ancient monuments, such as completely intact city wall (you can cycle around as it's only 14 km long) and drum tower (for waking up and going to sleep in ancient times). The Shaanxi museum is the best museum I visited in China (and I have been to almost all the megacities), much better than anything in Beijing including the Summer Palace or the Palace Museum. And then there are the terracotta warriors which is eerie and stunning to connect to ancient China. Xi'an has great restauramts and the people are friendly and hospitable..

Most exciting place. One week is not enough.
Most exciting place. One week is not enough. Will come again. Xi‘an is more than Terracotta warriors. There are many shows worth to see.
However, the visit to Shanxi Historical Museum is overly complicated as the website is in Chinese and not well organized. Even my Chinese guide did not manage to get me a ticket.

The room was big and comfortable to host my family. Basically It was like a small apartment with two rooms and a toilette. Everything clean and bright. The hotel seems pretty new.
It Is not located in the city center (in the hustle&bustle of muslim district!!!) but with 10-20 minutes bike you can reach the most famous Scenic areas.
However, the closest district is very popular and you can enjoy good street food and icecream as well!
It was the best stay during my 12 days in china. After my stay in Beijing city, I got sick, and arriving to this luxury location was one of the best things that happened to my and my throat virus. The staff was attentive and helped me a lot, although we needed to speak through the smartphone translator. The bed was the best bed of my trip and every little detail seemed to be taken care of before my arrival.
The hotel is located directly in the city centre close to the bell tower and the muslim quarter
The room was spacious and comfortable with everything needed during the stay
The hotel offers also a free self laundry service which is great if you’re travelling through China as we did
Overall a nice great and affordable accommodation
The room was spacious and clean, beds comfortable. Loved the toilet! Winnie at Front desk was super nice, helped me with everything I needed and made my trip to China way easier!
