The owner was fantastic. We are vegan and vegetarian and he went through all meals with us to make sure we were happy with what we would get and that he was making enough food for us. The hostel is about 1km from the main village but it’s very walkable both during the day and at night. Would highly recommend this place if you are going to the Tatacoa.

Pool was great for the heat, air con was greatly appreciated in the heat and the location was just a short walk from the centre of town. Room was a good size (bathroom slightly small) but the highlight was the private tour provided by the owner's son James of the tatacoa desert (which was an additional cost). Everything was setup to make it the perfect place to stay to see the desert and surrounding area. Would recommend to anyone.

Location is excellent close to the center of town, transport, shops etc. Room very large and airy with opening windows. Bathroom clean, cold water shower was refreshing. Room had two fans which were very good, but we only needed occasionally. Staff very nice and helpful even with our lack of Spanish. They also found us a driver to take us to the desert for a good price as we didn't want a tour. Wifi was good.

The location was superb, as well as the staff's attentiveness. It was calm, peaceful and comfortable. Don't expect too much, ultimately it is in the middle of the desert: Internet, running water and restaurants are scarce, but the experience is worth it every cent.
