Located in Bahía Solano in the Choco region, Sky and Sand features a patio. Set on the beachfront, this property has a private beach area, a garden, a bar and free WiFi.

I can’t recommend this place enough. It was the highlight of my trip to Colombia. The perfect place to stay if you look for tranquility and pure nature. Mecana is such and beautiful beach, and Sky and Sand is the most special place to stay at. Luisa made my stay just perfect. Her smile and love for nature are contagious, and her meals are delicious. She goes above and beyond to make sure you have a wonderful stay. And the activities offered were a great way to experience everything that Mecana has to offer. I wished I could have stayed longer!

Facing the seafront, Choibana Ecolodge offers 1-star accommodation in Bahía Solano and has an open-air bath, garden and shared lounge.

The place is amazing, you can reach it within a quarter of an hour by boat from the town of Bahia Solano and it is absolutely worth it to enjoy the tranquility of the bay, the sea, spot whales and listen to their song. The transport from the airport to the hotel is very well organized, the owner himself took care of organizing everything and made sure that everything went well at every step. The staff is really helpful, kind and available at any time. The food is simple but very good and whenever it is available, you can enjoy the excellent fresh fish of the day. The location is the strong point of Choibana. Far from the town of Bahia Solano, it is like having a private beach, far from the light pollution to see the stars at night and far from the noise of the many boats crossing the bay, it is literally possible to immerse your head underwater and hear the whales singing. With a bit of luck the whales enter the bay and it is possible to spot them from the window of the room (keep in mind that not all rooms overlook the sea).

Lovely stay, Jimmy was extremely friendly and welcoming from the moment I arrived. I felt very safe and at home here. There’s a beautiful sea view from the bedroom. Jimmy recommended a lovely walk nearby to the waterfalls and places to eat. Comfortable bed with big mosquito net and private bathroom :)

Set in Bahía Solano in the Choco region, Reserva Pakore Wera features a balcony. This farm stay offers a garden. Every room includes a terrace with garden views.

The home and its garden, situated at the edge of the reserve by the airstrip, are beautiful. The family are exceptionally hospitable and great cooks; they made me feel welcomed and went above and beyond to ensure the smoothness of my stay. It was also special to witness their passion for the fruits and herbs they grow. I would have liked to stay longer

The town of Mutis in Bahia Solano isn't much, but the area is impressively beautiful. It's pretty remote feeling here. There seem to be some beach hotels designed for the party crowd: Plays Dubai or Playa Huina come to mind. But that's not really the vibe of this area. It seems more for people coming to dive, hike, snorkel, or whale-watch. Bahia Solano is a bit difficult to reach, and quite difficult to get out of. You should have at least a day's cushion on the end of your trip before any other obligations or connecting flights. We were lucky to make it out, as it was raining heavily and the outbound flight almost couldn't land. Even when it did, it was only able to take about 2/3 of the ticketed passengers due to weight restrictions on the wet, short runway. Plan accordingly and be prepared for a bit of chaos. It's the price of admission.

If you want to go on an adventure, this is the place! There's no communication (no wifi or network available). You will find yourself in contact with the nature and the locals, who are excellent people and so warm. This is the perfect opportunity to take your time and breathe fresh air.
