The people were extremely nice!
The people were extremely nice! it has a lot of nature walks, parks, museums, restaurants, hand gliding. Very cultural. The streets are a little uneven and somewhat dangerous, if you drive, pay extra attention because of poor visibility because of the hills, and not a lot of street signs.

I have lived on and off in Colombia for over 40 years (more off than on as I live in FL full time, Medellin, part time). Jerico is truly a one of a kind small town or pueblo. The town caters to the arts and tourists for sure. There are modern, progressive restaurants and businesses throughout that you do not typically see in any other small town or pueblo. It truly left an impact on me as I have been to many many pueblos around Medellin and throughout Colombia. We DEFINITELY will be back. The climate is perfect by the way....like a perfect Florida day in February, mid 70's and minimal to no humidity, during the day typically. At night, it can dip into the mid 60's. I have been hearing of Jerico for years but just never made it a point to get there. In one more year or so, there will be a major highway completed(almost done now) that will get you there in 1.5 hours. Then you are left with about a 20 minute mountain climb up; the only bad part of the drive but the views are breathtaking from the drive up. It is a NO BRAINER to take the time to get to Jerico. Definitely go for a Friday or Saturday night and until the main highway is done, try avoiding your trip back to Medellin on a Sunday evening, you will get stuck in traffic. Come back on a Monday or any day during the week.
