Medellin is an amazing city.
Medellin is an amazing city. It's so unique and interesting to learn about its history. It has become an incredible destination to explore and we reccomend it highly. It has so much to offer keen travellers outside of just narco tourism which you see on the Internet. We would loved to have spent more time there. The food was fantastic and transport around the city either by metro/cable car or taxis was really easy and cheap. It's a great city and there is plenty to see and do. If you have a whole day, go visit Guatape and spend the day, it's a beautiful 2-hour ride thru the countryside and a beautiful town, colorful and full of life and things to do. Medellin is greener than Bogota and Cartagena. We do like both the Historic Center and Comuna 13. There is an excellent yet affordable restaurant named, Panaderia Dulce Paladar (Bakery Santa Teresita), opened 24 hours and around the corner near Hotel Living 35.
