We had an excellent time staying with German, Sara and Calet. The location is great, as it allows you to explore the Amazon (both the river and the jungle) with the tours offered with ease. Before we arrived Calet was very helpful by providing us information about the tours possible and advising us on what we need to bring. Botas impermeables were provided, meaning we did not have to pack and bring them ourselves.
The property is very clean and comfortable, and there is electricity and Wi-Fi at the property from about mid morning to 12pm. Sara cooked delicious local food for us for all three meals which were excellent value for money.
There was a lot of flexibility with the activities we wanted to do, and we were able to do everything we wanted, including seeing the pink dolphins. It was also nice to stay somewhere where it is clear your money is going directly to support both a family, and the surrounding community.
We had an amazing time staying here and would recommend it to anyone.

We felt very welcomed by the community. We took few of the excursions offered by La Ceiba, again, really thoroughly enjoyed the guides and what they showed us. We had excellent meals every day. This was our second time in Mocagua, would not hesitate to come back again.

The experience at Mu'u exceeded my expectations. The location is in the middle of the jungle - when I visited in January it took 2 hours of boat ride from Leticia to Mocagua, then another 45 mins in a motor boat up a creek, and 15 mins walking in the deep jungle. Times may change according to the water level.
The rooms are clean, big and simple. There is no electricity, no internet, no signal. Only candlelight, the sound of the jungle and the rain. This is a big part of why I chose to stay here.
Food is delicious, mostly organic and grown on premises. The host Jhon and his family are extremely nice and welcoming, knowledgeable and helpful in tailoring your experience to your needs.
I would absolutely recommend staying here if you are looking for an immersive jungle experience.

Beautiful location away from the hustle. Lots of birds and pretty views. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great tours at a reasonable price. Also, the staff helped us get extra cash in Puerto Nariño as we didn’t come with enough. There aren’t banks or ATM’s in Puerto Nariño. But we went to a supermercado in puerto nariño and they did a cash back service for us. We took out $500,000 pesos and they charged us $30,000 pesos for the transaction.
The staff also helped book our ferry back to Leticia for us.
The food was delicious. Lemonade was amazing. And the best coffee I’ve had in Colombia yet.
Our room and washroom were very basic and rustic. There were frogs, spiders, and lots of insects in the room, but the bug net over the bed did its job keeping us away from them at night. We went expecting that we would be essentially camping in the jungle so it wasn’t an issue for us.
My Spanish isn’t very good, but the staff was extremely patient and we were able to get by ok. I don’t know that I would recommend going if you don’t speak any Spanish.
