A one-night stopover on the way to the capital is really not enough for this place. But even this time I will remember with a positive attitude.
The room was in a house that is separate from the hotel, and that is its big plus. You have a place for the car.
You can drink a cup of tea on the terrace and enjoy the silence and beauty of nature.
The house is made in an old style, but inside it is modern. The bathroom is equipped with everything you need and there is hot water. A small fridge with bottles of water and juice, a kettle and a set for tea/coffee was just in time.
However, you can walk to the main building of the Hotel y Restaurante La Casona del Cafetal in 5 minutes. And there you can order a delicious light breakfast or a classic local one and drip coffee. The restaurant is on the shore of the lake with singing birds, so having breakfast was both delicious and pleasant! I definitely recommend this charming place.
Orosi Lodge is located 5 minutes’ drive from Orosí mani square and 9.3 mi from Cartago city center. Free WiFi access is available in all areas.

Good location in small town Orosi. Lots of restaurants, beautiful old church. About an hour away from Irazu volcano. Nice landscaping around the hotel.

This place is magical! The setting in the jungle and all the pathways to walk and discover little sitting areas or hot pools make it very fun for exploring. Our room was very large with a nice balcony and a big closet. The bed was comfortable and pillows ok. The breakfast was good. And dinner there was very good.
Oh and any problems we had (broken screen and no hot water at first, they got right on and fixed quickly).

The hotsprings were fenomenal and the restaurant and the food was exellent. We enjoyed the hike and seeing the animals at the farm. We also enjoyed seeing all the coffee plants all around us and actual people working picking the coffee beans. It was a very nice touch to get the sweet treats in our room. The villas are absolutly beautiful and very clean and so unique with all the nice features in every corner you look at with handles made out of coffe tea pots and coffee tin mugs and kettle for the sink. The pine features surrounding the crownmolding and baseboards and sutters matching the furniture was very beautiful!! Very beautiful place and the nature and flowers all around abolutely amazing and the views from all hotsprings outstanding and breathtaken! A must see place!! We will definetly be back and will bring more people there. Access was easy no 4 wheel drive needed.

5 mins drive down the road from Escalar Cachi, the local climbing area -- basically an outdoor climbing gym, with potable water, toilets, guides, top ropes on most routes, a swimming pool, and a nearby river too. Also includes a camping area.
25 mins drive from Paraiso, 1 hour from Volcan Irazu and the Prusia sector forest. A bit further from Turrialba, which was closed due to volcanic activity / covid when I visited.
