Great location. Easy to get to beaches and Manuel Antonio. We had a rental car and I would recommend that as short walks can be hilly, hot, and dangerous (narrow roads and some aggressive driving).
Breakfast and breakfast staff were excellent.
Location is amazing, wildlife on hotel grounds and around is amazing. Staff mostly excellent.
Rooms were super comfy, balcony looking at forest canopy was outstanding. Saw titi and white faced monkeys every day. Saw macaws and toucans on grounds a couple times. Other gorgeous birds around as well.
I would definitely recommend Shana, dinner was a little pricier than outside restaurants but food was great.
This hotel is located in between the jungle and just a 2-minute walk from Manuel Antonio Beach and a 15-minute walk to the Manuel Antonio National Park, and features free WiFi.

As soon as we stepped out of the car we knew we arrived somewhere special. Howler monkeys greeting us from the trees was a great welcome.
The location of the hotel is fantastic, the restaurant was terrific, and the pool is exactly what we needed coming back to cool off in the hotel. Great vibes all around, would definitely recommend.
Also saw from the hotel a sloth and squirrel monkeys that came down to the restaurant so we could see them from upfront

The hotel is 20 steps from the park entrance and a few minutes from the beach. The shared areas (pool, reception) are nice and the staff is very helpful. Best part: after checking out we could leave our car parked inside and after visiting the park we could take a shower! Thanks again!

Great location near beach. Rooms were sparse with no place to open luggage except on floor. No chair to sit on. Bathroom tile grout was not clean and shower drained slowly. Restaurant food was good, but also overpriced compared with nicer resorts.

We loved our stay at Mango Moon! The breakfast was good and the view is amazing. We stayed in the 2 bedroom room with one bathroom which is on the top floor. Our view was excellent. We could see the water and lots of wildlife. We saw capuchin monkeys, squirrel monkeys, macaws, and many other birds. The sunsets were amazing from here.
The pool area is comfortable and we never had trouble finding a place to sit. The pool itself was very refreshing.
The rooms could use a few easy updates. For example extension cords and coat hooks. There were only a few places to plug our electronics in and almost nowhere to hang towels or any clothes. One of our rooms has a large king bed which was comfortable. The other room had two single beds.
The location is great, although you do have to walk a bit uphill to get to the main part of Manuel Antonio (a small bit of exercise!). To get down to the closest beach is definitely a trek though.
Ubers were easy to get in the area as well.

We recommend an early morning private guide who must have a scope to see the animals. Eat at an abnormal time so you don't have to wait in line at the snack house. Get everything you want one time in line. Hike on your own to the view points -magnificent. We swam at the beach. Even though there were clear signs saying the currents were not safe, the guide said it was safe and all were in the ocean, but not very far out. I would have liked a couple days to explore here on my own. Even though it's small, one day was not enough for me as I like to see the wildlife up close. Sadly, the monkeys were all hiding while we were there. Eat at only the highest star restaurants nearby Manuel Antonio. We had worst dinner of our 17 day stay in CR in the area. If they are trying to corral you into the restaurant, run. Unfortunately every restaurant was trying to get us to come in this way. We had to eat. Put the big bucks out for a good hotel in this area or you'll be sad you came.

If you get an early start to your day, a visit to the national park does not take very long. You can visit and then be on your way to another destination. Get a guide-you won’t see what they can see, no matter how good you think your eyes are!

Manuel Antonio offers so much!
Manuel Antonio offers so much! We like the amount of wildlife everywhere, and the fun restaurants. One of our favorite places to eat dinner and watch the sunset over Manuel Antonio beach is BURU. Their whole red snapper is excellent and the sunset is beautiful! The Titi Canopy zip line was amazing (!!) and was our favorite activity. The Villa Vanilla tour was exceptional as well. We love walking in Quepos, getting coffee at Cafe Milagro, walking through the Marina Pez Vela and picking up snacks at the super markets.

Beach at national park end and within the park are stunning
Lots of good hotels and general feeling of affluence and quality
National park tours are crowded as everyone seems to go in early morning. You'll need a guide to see much

Located very close to the entrance of Manuel Antonio National Park. Shops and restaurants nearby. Short walk to the beach. Friendly staff. 2 swimming pools. Nice view of the surrounding area to the ocean from the terrace. Monkeys playing on the roof and in tree tops make for enjoyable animation. First stay at a container hotel! Would stay at this property again!
Price during off season was high but acceptable. The room was in good shape although it was not new. The pool was nice warm and huge. You can walk to Manuel Antonio national park, which is really convenient. Beach is also very close, of course the sand is dark and its not a carribean paradise kind of sea, but still very nice and very warm (october)
The place is lovely, rooms are spacious, bathrooms are in perfect conditions as the pool and igloos. Food is great and staff is very helpful (booking taxis, restaurants etc). The hotel is less than a 5 min walk to Espadillas Beach and 15min walk to Manuel Antonio's Park.
They have a lovely puppy called Toby too
Nice hotel with really nice rooms on the hill. Private access to the beach makes it special and that’s highly recommended! Staff was also really nice. Manuel Antonio park is walking distance and avoids paying the parking there.
perfect location! like absolutely perfect with beach access and walk 5 min to park entrance great atmosphere at the cheap nice restaurant. kids friendly.
simple hotel - not luxurous ! but very nice
nice parking area as well
