CanadaI cannot recommend Cabinas Jiménez highly enough. I have stayed there 3 separate times and have loved my stay each time! The owners and staff are so lovely and will go out their way to ensure you have a fantastic experience. They have upgraded my room for free, stored my personal baggage while at Corcovado, and have recommended so many amazing places in the Osa Peninsula. The rooms are cleaned impeccably and you can even take out kayaks on the Golfo Dulce for free!

United StatesUnique location and super friendly owner and staff. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome, even backed a special cake for my birthday. Morning yoga class inclused as well as a delicious breakfast. Lunch and dinner at very reasonable prices. Location is remote, which is what we were looking for, if you are looking fpr party central this isn’t for you. Amazing almost empty beach a 3 minute walk from our cabin, amazing wild life. If we return to Osa Peninsula we will definitely stay there again.

We had the luxury of spending nearly an entire month on the Osa Peninsula of Costa Rica - the first two weeks near Drake Bay and the last two weeks in Puerto Jimenez. If you have to choose one over the other, I would go with Puerto Jimenez, which has several advantages: a full grocery store if you're doing your own cooking, nicer beaches with finer sand as opposed to broken shells and sharp stones and, an airport within walking distance to the town. Both towns are safe and tourist-friendly and offer a wide variety of excursions including access to Corcavado National Park but Puerto Jimenez, with its paved streets and better restaurants is my choice.Guest review byJamesUnited States - Review score10.0

Small town with lots around. Amazing warm bay that we kayaked out into everyday (becuse Cabinas Jimenez provided free use of them) It is calm, swimable and full of fish and marine mammals. We loved the ceviche at several places-Delphines is the favorite. fun vibe there on the water Get your produce at the fresh market at the entrance to town-great selection. We loved reading in the balcony and looking at the amazing wildlife visiting the garden which is always full of hummingbirds. The house is clean and comfortable and the bedroom is spacious and nicely decorated.
