The location was phenomenal. The veranda out side the room had a good view, was sheltered from the sun and a pleasant place to sit. The Hotel is set amongst forest and almost on the beach. The wildlife comes to you. The swimming pool has seen better days but it’s in a very special location and the capuchin monkeys regularly visit to hang out with their family. The beach is totally amazing. Manuel Antonio is only a 10 minute jaunt along the beach. This hotel is an experience in itself. Well worth a visit.

Everything is super new, stylish and comfortable. The coffee is very good, they roast their own beans. The staff and owner are really friendly and showed me around town. I just had breakfast here but that was delicious. Rooms and bed super comfortable! Its a quiet street but easy to walk anywhere in town. Also really liked that they work with local organisations for their beans and chocolate. Just stayed one night but wished I could have stayed longer!

We had an amazing time at the exceptional hotel. We were absolutely thrilled with everything about this place. The location is possibly none of the very best we have stayed in anywhere in the world. We were staying in the most stunningly beautiful room with breathtaking views across the landscape to the sea beyond. We were awoken daily to the sound of howler monkeys and watched the dawn break across a stunning landscape. Beside our room were a pair of nesting Toucans and we often saw squirrel monkeys close to our room. Once into the grounds we experienced a vast array of wildlife including a close encounter with a sloth and a honey bear on a night tour with the knowledgeable and incredibly helpful Jose. We took a day tour (included) which was so excellent that we booked on to the night walking tour room it’s really worth it. We saw more wildlife in our 4 days here than anywhere else - it’s amazing! We also have to give a shout out to Emzo who was just wonderful- we had a few requests and every single thing was sorted for us quickly and efficiently. He also remembered that it wasn’t special birthday for my wife and he and William ensured that she received very special attention including a beautiful floral and candle arrangement in our room and a dessert with candle delivered personally to our room. Nothing was too much trouble and William ensured that our every need was met. We also had excellent service from the lovely Ingrid who kept our accommodation perfect and provided an ever smiling face at breakfast. We ate breakfast, which was always tasty and plentiful overlooking the parkland and were sometimes blessed with a fly past by scarlet macaws and a plethora of other bird life. Bring your binoculars! This place is exceptional. Truly the holiday of a lifetime - thank you to all the amazing staff!

Spacious, clean, comfortable, well-cared for gardens and outdoor area. Staff really kind, helpful, polite. Access to rainforest trails and great diversity of wildlife.

Quepos itself is a little rough, but Manuel Antonio is a gem. Be wary of all the hustlers on the beach. Would have liked to go fishing but the prices for charters were steep. Great eateries. I forgot the name but the seafood restaurant before the bridge into town was excellent.

To us nothing there but closeness to Antonio Manuel and other beaches. Not much to do in the city but plenty of all kinds of shops and one of the best local restaurants we encountered ... Soda Sanchez

Quepos is a good central location from which to do all manner of activities. I love the farmers market on Friday PM/Saturday AM. Scuba diving is just okay as the visibility even in the dry season is limited. Check out the farm tour at Villa Vanilla (they can pick up from Quepos if you don't have a car) and the bus to Manuel Antonio Park (worth the hype but buy your tickets online before you go) and all the attractions along the way is only 380 colones.

We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend.
We stayed outside of Quepos which I would recommend. Quepos is an authentic town to shop and eat at. We loved walking around to explore and eat. We liked the market for the shopping and the coffee shop! We were able to walk around Quepos very easily and get back to the bus downtown no problem.

The city is not big, quite busy, there are a few restaurants (some crazy expensive) and shops. Manuel Antonio Park, on the other hand, is completely overrated. I haven't seen such a crowded place in all of Costa Rica! I am disappointed and angry that I had to travel such a long way to get to an uninteresting place. I do not recommend!

It was very new and clean, with a well functioning kitchen, and two well sized bedrooms, so had plenty of space. The location in Quepos was also good, very central, close to both the waterfront and the bus station. The owner was welcoming and very helpful. We enjoyed our stay and found Quepos preferable to Manuel Antonio.
We stayed at Pura Vida for one night when we were traveling south down the coast and liked it so much we stayed again on the return. The location away from the Quepos crowds is great, and the facilities and hosts are great.
Amazing place to stay and surf! It's right on the beach without crowds of people and Miguel is great surf teacher. The accomodation is simple but really cool, perfect for adventurous people 😎
