The property was in a good location for our needs. We had a rental car so it was easy for us to get around. The breakfast was good and the service was great.

This place is in a wonderful location and affordable. The pool is nice and the Breakfast tipico is really good. The rooms are small and ours specifically didn't get internet, so we had to go out of the room for that. Not a big deal but worth mentioning. I feel safe there. It has a shared kitchen, which always seemed clean, and they sell beer, water and tea. The staff is super friendly and always available to help. And although the restaurant is separate, they all work together to make sure everyone is taken care of. It isn't a 5 star hotel but it is a great place for family, work-cation. 2 min walk from the beach.

Even though we were only there for one night as they were booked solid, we got their business card to come back sometime. Very nice, close to everything. Quiet and exceptional. The continental breakfast was amazing but you can order as well. Definitely would stay again.

Federica and her husband were amazing hosts. The place is as beautiful as it looks and the location is ideal. You step into an oasis when you walk inside and the daily yoga with breakfast was something we looked forward to every day. We will definitely go back!

We loved Samara. It's a small town of only about 3,000 permanent residents. We LOVED the beach. It was perfect. It was clean and safe and peaceful and there isn't anybody walking up and down trying to sell you anything. The town is small but friendly and lovely; plenty of restaurants to check out, live music to hear, ice cream treats, great Sushi in town, grocery store, cheese & sausage store, etc. We went to Limey's twice for the great food and live music:) We could live here; we didn't want to leave:)

We like the beach at Samara because there is a reef protecting the bay, so it is safe to swim for everyone in the family. The beach is clean and nice sand for walking.
There are a wide variety of restaurants and grocery stores for eating out or cooking in your apartment.

Samara is wonderful.
Samara is wonderful. It's a touristy beach town, but a very low-key one. The beach was never terribly crowded, the restaurants were never very crowded, and it was not full of obnoxious, loud partiers. Just a laid-back place full of friendly people.

Very laid back small village.
Very laid back small village. Tourists were very chill during my month long stay. Food at sodas and restaurants was very tasty. Do not expect resort type accomodations. A true surfer would go elsewhere but I saw many people getting their first rides here. Everything is walkable. I attended Intercultura Spanish Immersion School for 4 weeks. I hope to return for another month next year. All residentss appeared to enjoy their lives with quiet contentment.

The town of Samara is very busy and bustling.
The town of Samara is very busy and bustling. Quite touristy. There are some nice restaurants on the beach though. Carillo is just about 2 miles away and as a tiny village with a few very good restaurants a nice beach and is very quiet.

Samara is a small beach town that is entirely walkable.
Samara is a small beach town that is entirely walkable. It is not home to large resorts (which we like). We LOVED Carrillo beach (10 minute drive south of town) and I would rate it one of my all time favourite beaches in the world (extremely long beach with palm trees lining it for ample shade, beautiful sand, safe surf for kids and families, easy parking along the road, no parking fees, no resorts, no cruise ships, quiet - perfection!).

Laura is a brilliant host and the location is stunning. She’s has created a little slice of heaven up on the top of a mountain. Yes you will def need a 4x4 and the roads are very ‘Costa rican’ but what awaits is truly worth it. The food - from breakfast to the dinner options were really nice.
Laura went out of her way to help us with her onward travel and we can’t thank her enough.
There is also 3 lovely friendly dogs, 2 cats and a pig called Brad Pig. What more could you really ask for…
What can we say....you have a property where almost every imaginable detail is taken into consideration. it's a new, modern build. Rooms all are comfortable and have air conditioning. Shower's great, mattress is great, pillows are great (these are always issues in Costa Rica). Having a small soaker pool on the property was a great way to spend our afternoon after we went dolphin watching. We spent 3 nights here and wished it could have been 5. Would recommend to everyone.
Beautiful place with lovely garden between forest and ocean. Rooms are very spacious. it is a 5 minutes drive from Samara center. the hotel has a good restaurant with fair prices, dinner was delicious.
Lovely hosts, good location on the edge of Samara and an easy walk to the beach and local area. The pool was a refreshing treat, gardens beautiful and a really pretty hotel.
we stayed in more than 8 high-class hotels/Airbnbs during our Costa Rica trip, yet good life lodge had the cleanest and most modern rooms of all of them
