Room was clean and well kept. Breakfast buffet was a nice spread, the waiting staff was very friendly and willing to help with any questions or food requests. Very much appreciated. Lots of decent dining options near the property, we drove to Plaza Cariari (4 minutes drive) where we saw multiple restaurants open at 9:00 pm.

First of all, the staff here, especially the reception team, were excellent and very accommodating. The location is excellent, as the Holiday Inn next door is a great location for tours to pick you up, and the 24x7 Denny's was a perfect place for an American to get a little homey experience. There is an also a sports bar next door, and they have okay food and drinks at reasonable prices. The balcony was a nice addition, good for drying wet clothes as the weather wasn't that conducive to sitting outside when we were in San Jose. Maid service was dependable and efficient.

Breakfast is excellent with Gallo Pinto (of course!) every day, eggs and a rotating menu of tasty selections. Three fruit selections every day! Pineapple is fantastic! Dining room looks out to the lovely pool area. A great spot to swim or read under the umbrellas.
