A check in was super smooth: I took keys from a locker box and went up straight to a room. Everything was spotlessly clean, a little bit on old fashioned side but very cosy. There was a communal kitchen with a kettle and a microwave, so I was able to make hot tea and early morning’s instant coffee. Also a restaurant on the 1st floor was good and convenient (I had a limited amount of time in the morning and breakfast was cooked really quick - thumbs up for restaurant’s staff)

We had a very nice time in this guesthouse in the Hochwald – it was absolutely fantastic! What a beautiful, super comfortable and very quiet place to relax and dream with 4 lovely cats outside :) The room had everything we could imagine and need, a complete kitchen, a small fireplace, a *piano, perfect seating and places to “hang out”, the very good bed and outside we had our private time in the sauna and hot tube with a view in the forest and the heaven, day and night! Absolutely perfect! Zuzana gives you all her love with her good energies and the place make it easy to reflection of one's own connection to nature. Open and wide. You chop your own wood for the stoves, if you want, naked like we did, next to the forest and feel undisturbed and unobserved. This is absolutely extraordinary!

The staff were very welcoming and friendly. The room was spotlessly clean and had lovely furniture. The food in the restaurant was tasty and reasonably priced. Secure bike storage.. A great place to stay.

The hotel is overpriced considering the limited facilities. The spa is just one room with a jacuzzi and sauna—if it’s booked, there’s no alternative. Only one massage therapist is available, so it’s not possible to book massages for two people at the same time. The area has very few hiking options. The room we received was under the roof with low ceiling space, not matching the photos shown during booking. The restaurant looks nice, but the food is priced at luxury levels without delivering the expected quality or service. For example, the panna cotta was just whipped cream, costing 200 CZK. Overall, not recommended for a spa stay, and the value for money is questionable.
