This hotel in the green Burtscheid district offers free parking. It is 5 minutes from the A44 motorway and a direct bus ride from Aachen Central Station.

I had to find a parking space elsewhere because their private open space parking was full when we arrived there at 9PM or so. But the staff taught me where to park for free. Breakfast was very delicious. One of the best in three-star hotel breakfasts I have experienced. Nice and calm place. Good value for money.

Set within 2297 feet of Eurogress Aachen and 1148 feet of Historical Town Hall Aachen, B&B Hotel Aachen-City offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Aachen.

I liked the very efficient check-in experience and that the hotel garage has ample sized parking spaces. The bed was comfortable, and the shower had a strong pressure. The breakfast was simple but delicious bread. There is no need to check out in this hotel so it saves time.

The hotel is in a great location and within an easy walk to the main train station and the old city. The room was very clean and nicely appointed with tea available. The staff was very friendly, and also made sure to have the breakfast ready for us in time to catch our train. We are very happy with our stay there.

FAQs about hotels in Aachen

Charming Emperor’s Residence

A political center and favorite residence of Charlemagne, Aachen is located in Germany’s North Rhine-Westphalia region. A spa town since Ancient Roman times, it has some of the hottest springs in Europe. Its Old Town keeps important architectonic jewels, like the Cathedral ordered by Charlemagne in 786, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

With a unique mix of styles, the Cathedral is the final resting place for Charlemagne’s remains, and served as coronation church for 30 German kings and 12 queens. Guesthouses and hotels in Aachen’s historic center are a romantic way of enjoying the city.

The RWTH University is one of the country’s "Universities of Excellence", part of the technologic profile of a city that is regarded as one of the most innovative in Germany. In fact, a large number of Aachen hotels have congress facilities.

It is located 40 miles from Cologne and 24 miles from Maastricht/Aachen Airport. Connections to major European capitals are available from the central train station, while several hotels nearby will help you to avoid the last-minute rush.

Whether you want to relax in the baths or come to town for a lecture, don’t miss the Aachen accommodations deals available on Booking.com!

Very nice city, all attractions you can see walking around. Christmas market it is rather crowded place. It is wise to check the events on city website, although better check it twice... I like the old city, but the best dishes are on Pontstrasse, they have good pubs too.

Aachen seemed quite quiet, We visited on Sunday, stayed until Tuesday morning. Town Hall interesting, but I mainly wanted to find out about Charlemagne. The museum was closed on Monday (they all are!) and the museum, when we did visit on Tuesday am was disappointing. Very little on Charlemagne or the Holy Roman Empire, but a lot of Aachen history. Still a very pleasant town to visit and small enough to be managed in a day or two. Good restaurants.

This ancient city has both an old and modern district running around the centre. Not as medieval as I had imagined but the old town is worth a wander around. Lots of curb-side bar's cafe's and restaurants. However, walk 5 minuets in any direction from the centre and you are met with the seedier parts of town! I don't think I would make Aachen my final holiday or city break destination but its a good stopping off or overnight point on a long journey.

Gorgeous and very walkable, ideal for those with a love for architecture and history. A smallish old town but a splendid cathedral and town hall. Plenty of cafes, and don't miss the Printen (fabulous local gingerbread).

This hotel is lovely, and the staff are very friendly and efficient. The decor reflects that of the cathedral, and is very pretty. We ate in both the bistro and the bar, and both were excellent. Location is not too far from the centre, but I would recommend a taxi to or from the station. Aachen is a beautiful city to visit and this hotel just adds to the experience.

The location of this hotel is very good as it is opposite the city centre close to shops. The street in front of the hotel is quite busy. The room is spacious. The price/quality rate is good. The breakfast is quite good; eggs are prepared and served fresh on request.
