In contrast to my last visit (therefore, worth returning to) the issue of overburdened staff did not arise. The family appears to "adopt" returning guests: I was addressed with the familiar "du" form of verbs. They were willing to work around my schedule for breakfast, & insisted on helping me with my luggage. Each guest can save things in a fridge in the reception area (green plastic box). The internet was strong enough to allow video conference calls. I enjoy the location, although it does mean dealing with very low speed limits. You're only about 10 minutes from the Autobahn; 1 hour (if lucky) from the airport. Breakfast buffet very typical for Germans; they will scramble an egg for you, in addition to the hard-boiled eggs. Occasional fun surprises like a mozza/tomato/basil dish.

These rooms are located in the main building or annexes of a beautiful historic manor house in Basthorst, surrounded by green countryside. Gut Basthorst offers free WiFi.
