We had such a warm welcome. The room was very well appointed and newly refurbished in a historic schloß on the outskirts of Bayreuth. The castle itself is a very special place to stay, the wonderful breakfast on the terrace was a particular highlight.

Quirky hotel with automated check-in that works great. If you are on the autobahn and need a good night's sleep - stay here. Parking is free during the night hours only, so be careful. The size of the room is larger than usual, great facilities overall. Everything works, no fuss. The surrounding area is very pretty.

Bayreuth is famous for the annual festival celebrating Richard Wagner’s operas. Too bad the excellent museum of his is on the other side of town. I had to take taxis to go from one to the other and back to my room.

I like this town. The surroundings are pleasant.
I like this town. The surroundings are pleasant. The town is small and green. There are many parks. Not very noisy. Nice and quiet. There are enough shops. Cafes have nice prices and tasty food. It is a bit frustrating that many cafes don't have coffee with lactose-free milk and few sugar-free products for diabetics, as well as shops.

We went for the Wagner-Festspiel, so it's simple: Bayreuth is the only place. It's a little out of the way for air or train travel, so we chose to drive from Berlin. Having a car was convenient, as our apartment was a few Km out of town. Bayreuth is a charming small city in the Bavarian hills and worth seeing, especially if you're into opera.

This hotel is a short walk, about 10 minutes to the Festspielhaus which makes it a very good location. It is also near to many restaurants and the centre of the town. It doesn’t cater for gluten free and vegan options

The baroque opera house is lovely and certainly worth a visit. \The Margrave New Palace and park. Also the Hermitage, on the outskirts of Bayreuth. The Wagner museum is a sort of must, but if possible, check the times of guided tours to the Steingaertner Piano factory. Some of the churches are worth a visit as are the parks.

Bayreuth was a pleasantly relaxing place with plenty to see, both in the city and nature.
There are several nice parks, as well as a lovely botanical garden. I was a bit surprised at the Ermitage, as it stands out significantly from other European palaces.
We found a delightful mexican restautant, Enchilada. We went a few times in our stay.
It was mostly comfortable to ride a bike, though many streets lack bike lanes.

The hotel suffered a huge upgrade/remake. Now you can call it an acceptable 4-star hotel (they even installed A/C. Room, very acceptable, breakfast good and plenty of variety, location sorroundigs not great, but 5' from Bayreuth city - good.
This is exactly what we were looking for in Bayreuth; a self-contained apartment a couple of minutes from the old Markt and 5-10 min from the railweay station. There was a supermarket just over the road. Lisa was very helpful.
This is a delightfully old fashioned hotel in the centre of Bayreuth. The list of former guests is impressive. The hotel restaurant serves exceptionally good meals!
