It's a very historic hotel; it feels like you're traveling back in time when you're inside. It's very well located, even though the city is very small. The breakfast is simple but good — it's not an "all you can eat" style, but what they serve is enough.
Highlight: Alberto and his wife. They are very friendly, very polite, and very helpful!
Tip: Have lunch or dinner in the hotel restaurant. It was one of the best meals we had on the trip. Alberto helped us get a last-minute table.

Very pretty hotel. Parking available on the road, but there is a garage a short walk away. Lovely room. On the landing there was a selection of beers and wines for your consumption and you just paid for them when checking out. The landlady knew exactly what we had had. There was also a selection of snacks with an honesty box for payment. What a wonderful idea. Very friendly landlady. Willing to take our bags to our room if required. The weather was appalling but there were umbrellas by the front door for guests use. Only stayed one night as a stopover going back home but definitely come back again for a longer stay. Location was good. The river Maine is a short walk away and I would imagine that when the weather is good the walks are lovely. There is a restaurant next to the hotel but we used one in town called Gasthaus zum Riesen.

Good location on bicycle route, kind welcome, modern clean room, near gasthof with good dinner. Very nice lady welcomed us and got us sorted with bike storage in bike garage a few steps from accommodation. Comfortable room and bathroom, all seemed like new. Air con as was 30 plus when we arrived.

Great and charming hotel in a small town, with very nice and gentle staff and a wonderful restaurant. We arrived by bus from Miltenberg and the bus stop is in front of the hotel, on the main avenue. The hotel is close to the road that takes us to Engelberg - just behind it. Everything was very clean. The bathroom was completely renovated and elegant, while the bedroom was in a cosy old style. The owner was a gentleman and helped us a lot, even taking us to the train station when we left. The restaurant was of a high standard, unexpected for a small town, we had a delicious and excellent dinner. The breakfast room was typical and charming and the breakfast was delicious with German bread and cakes. I will probably return to Grossheubach in the future and stay in the same place.
