We went with a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 girls aged 8,9 and 12) on a break on our return trip to Belgium from Kosovo. After having driven for about 15 hours and with still 8 hours ahead of us we decided it was better to rest somewhere. The rooms were clean and as described. The location was very quiet and peaceful upon our arrival - almost too quiet - as if we were the only guests (the changed later in the evening when we head some noise from the neighbours' rooms). The breakfast was good (except for the lack of daily fresh fruits, which was a bit of a bummer). Internet coverage was fine with with Ubiquity accesspoints. At 9/10 the average rating seems to be a bit high for families, but for young couples the double room might be a nice get away with the cool and huge tub in it and the bath bomb ;) The location was easy to find, along a big road - nonetheless it was very quiet inside the rooms in the evening and night. The hosts were well versed in English (and obviously German) and correct. Lighting was a bit understated and romantic.

Breakfast was great, plentiful with meats, cheeses, fruits, hard boiled eggs and more. Seating was community style. Casual pace and not too loud. Walking the grounds was beautiful and safe, day and night!

We were greeted at the site and welcomed by Joseph the 7th, his wife and young girls even though we were a little early. The apartment is cozy and comfortable with a perfect location, and unbelievably wonderful for the price. They cooked us a fabulous dinner and gave us a tour of their vision for continuing the improvements and remodel of the building that had been in their family for 9 generations. We hope to someday return and will definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay in the small town of Vilshofen. The inn is walking distance to the river boat docking station. The hotel was clean and adequate. There are steps to navigate and there is no elevator.
