The room was nicer than we anticipated and was spotless. The bed was comfortable (and we are very fussy in that regard) The shower was good and the bathroom was a very good size Breakfast (continental) in a lovely room, was very good and set us up for the day. The “basic” rooms are just that basic (i.e. shared kettle in the tea room rather than your own) but the beds are comfy, the rooms a good size and the shower is powerful and clean. Modern rooms. The rooms were clean, perfectly sized and comfortable. The beds and shower were great. And the room actually was very, very sound-proof. We aren't easy sleepers, but got a good night here.
