Weiskirchen is a rather small place in Saarland and we quite liked it. Although it might not have some particular summer options itself, it is located in such a spot that literally everything possible is within (max.) 30 minutes reach (swimming lakes and sights). The place itself has a Shell petrol station with normal prices (as opposed to the rip-off prices on highway). Not far (some 5 minutes drive) is a Wildlife park with local animals (roaming mostly free) which can be fed with animal food from vending machines. It is very interesting and fun. This establishment also hosts a very nice restaurant which we highly recommend (splendid view from the terrace). NOTE: We use Vodafone as our mobile provider and the data-connection was VERY poor. Therefore, we highly recommend to use some offline GPS navigation device (or app). We did that and had no problem. Otherwise, you might find yourself asking for directions a lot. ;) A beautiful lake and gardens make Weiskirchen a lovable place which we highly recommend to anybody.Guest review byIvanGermany

It is the first hotel I’ve encountered with a tv that does NOT have an obnoxious stand-by light that’s on permanently! Somehow most hotel owners do not seem to get that having a luminescent red dot hanging over the bed at night is not conductive to sleep, but these people do get it. The nature around invites for walks or runs. Trier with its cultural highlights is not far away.
