Boca chica is a nice place to stay however you have to be careful with the host of these properties they're not all trustworthy. After being confirmed by booking.com to stay at a property then get there at 9:00 in the night and being told it's not available and it has been canceled only to check booking again and find out that it's still saying confirmed that is not the way to start your vacation.

The beach is beautiful and great for families, unfortunately it isn't a safe and welcoming place. You have the aggressive beach sellers that are rude and many are disrespectful. Also, the food vendors/restaurants on the beach charge outrageous prices and add overly high taxes to everything you order and many charge separate for on-the-beach seating. If you pay for a water activity, you will most likely get scammed!
It's just not fun or safe for anyone anymore

It is a nice town.
It is a nice town. Close to Santo Domingo international airport(almost 20 min driving). Locales are always greeting and ready to help and give you advices of places to visit and how to get them.
You will find a varieties of restaurant (Italian restaurants, traditional dishes)many little convenient stores, banks, church, parks, bakeries , and their beautiful beaches.
They have buses that can take you directly to the colonial are on Santo Domingo for a reasonable fare.
People who like water sports will.find many options here to have fun.

Its a small turisty town with nice beach.
Its a small turisty town with nice beach. Restaurants and bars next to the beach. It is not seems to be safe. It is not clean what so ever. Infrastructure is very limmited. Lots of social problems. And preaty expensive for Dominican standards. This place could be a paradies with not so small improvements.
People from Italy holds few restaurans and hotels and are prety nice. Puerco Rosadio restaurant i've eat best pasta and paella, Fabry for pizza, Residentia la Palmeras Riki is fantastic place for stay, its Close to few fancy restautants with terase floatinhg in the ocean. Nice gorchery store Ole... most people are very nice and calm. Lots of people asking for money and you cannot pass them easily. Lots of street and beach sellers.

It is a beach resort, but not an outstanding one.
It is a beach resort, but not an outstanding one. There are many imperfections on the beach, such as algae that have been washed up and left on the beach, and there is no attempt to improve the quality of the beach.
There are persistent solicitation for sexual services and marijuana from individuals, and the town as a whole does not seem to be in the mood to push the beach tourism industry.
From Santo Domingo, it takes 30 minutes for 100 pesos from the terminal bus to Boca Chica (2024/5), a little more than 5 minutes walk from Enriquillo Park. If you get off near Boca Chica Central Park, you will arrive at an area with many accommodations along the beach.
On the way back, take the Boca Chica-bound bus you took on the way there, saying "Santo Domingo" to get a free ride to the terminal for Santo Domingo, and transfer at the terminal. 100 pesos. You are free to get off on your way back, but if you don't know the city, it is safe to get off at Enriquillo Park.

The food was great.
The food was great. The conditions in the rooms were very poor. Had to go to the front desk numerous times throughout my stay. The phone in the rooms or not working. The power Hotel went off numerous times and by the time they're generator would kick in we had to wait. We had to wait hours for towels because they didn't have enough clean ones. No shampoo no soap in the rooms.

The location is great. A lovely restaurant with excellent staff. Jehu who makes an amazing pizza and showed me the town of boca chica. Made me feel at home. A good guy and also has a secret talent.. an aspiring musician who will make it big shortly.
The position is very good and it is the reason I chose this place. Boca Chica is not the best place in the Dominican Republic, we know, and tourism is mainly local, with internationals going to most famous locations of Punta Cana or La Romana.
The only redeeming quality of this hotel, albeit debatable, is the location. However, if you are not a heavy sleeper don't count going to bed before 2am.
