The property is perfectly located and provides easy access to the beaches and town.
There's always something to see in Cabrera. I've visited more than 8 times in the last 2 years and there's always something I haven't seen yet. The main thing is that stays are either very cheap or super luxury (and expensive), but that's starting to change with some new places that are becoming available.
Food is always great, specially at Flor de Café (try for breakfast) or the Babonuco Restaurant (don't be put off by it's rustic appearance, the food is great!).
Bring cash, as most places don't take credit cards.

We LOVED this hotel.
We LOVED this hotel. The property is lovely, in a rustic style on a quiet hillside location. However, the amenities are modern. The hotel has a small pool & many common areas (swinging chairs!) in which you can still find quiet. Since mid-Dec & weekdays are not busy, we were upgraded without cost to a very spacious, beautifully designed & comfortable room with hillside & distant ocean views.
Markus, the owner’s brother, was lovely to chat with. He gave us recommendations of where to beach (Caleton, which was smaller, lots less people, less waves than the more popular Playa Grande) & eat (ask for Henry, eat fresh caught fish on the beach local style).
Breakfast was included: fresh seasonal fruits, toast, eggs, ham, cheeses, coffee & juices.
The malecón is 15 min drive, all the better beaches about 20 min drive. Also, Laguna Dudu, natural beauty, caves & swimmable lagoon pools, also 20 min & worth the trip if it’s off season or during the week.
We will return!!

We LOVE Cabrera.
We LOVE Cabrera. So much to see and do (or enjoy doing nothing but relaxing in the hotel)! Numerous beaches, local waterfall, DuDu Lagoon, and Rio San Juan Lagoon, all nearby. Many really good, picturesque restaurant options available as well.
