Fairly new property in very good and very clean condition (as per the pictures) located in-between the main beach of Las Galeras and La Playita (~10mn walk each). Very quiet at night, so good night sleep 100% assured. Super safe. Amazing hosts who made our stay memorable. Value for money. We would definitely stay there again. Las Galeras has been the highlight of our 2-week holiday.

The room is really two minutes away from the beach. The hotel is very quite at night. Joanna was an excellent host, the room was clean and functional, albeit a bit basic.

It's a stylish and beautiful B&B in Las Galeras. The location is excellent—just a few steps from the beach and the city center.
The owners have put a lot of effort and heart into every detail to ensure a pleasant stay. The bungalows are even better in real life than in pictures, and the property features a lovely garden with a pool and hammock. Not to mention the fantastic breakfast! They also provide filtered water throughout your stay.
Both my husband and I were pleasantly surprised, and our only regret was not staying longer.

Las galeras is what the more touristy spots (punta cana and puerto plata) were 30 years ago. It is much more primitive but the beaches are amazing and there many to visit. the facilities are mixed - you can find high end resorts and simple rooms to rent. the restaurants are more than adequate but this town does not have the volume of people to keep all perfect all the time expect the mediocre and enjoy when all is great.
we will come back it is wonderful

Las Galeras is still rural, with small but comfortable and high-quality hotels. It is an area for ecotourists or lovers of quiet and more unspoiled beaches without the structure and depersonalization of a resort. There are many small hotels and many French-run restaurants that compete with the locals. I recommend going to the local restaurants and try their excellent Creole food. It is effortless to move around the Galeras, although with great caution, because the locals drive their motorcycles and cars with a lot of anarchy and little respect for traffic rules. Our favorite restaurant was Los Conucos. It is a family atmosphere, run by Alba and her husband. Juana, the mother, is the cook, and the daughters take care of the place. It has a barbecue that is very popular with the locals. Their creole dishes are delicious. We paid an average of 25 dollars for two people, including beer. On our next visit, we would like to have cleaner beaches.

Even though it is a 3-hour drive from Santo Domingo area, Las Galeras is beautiful, out of the annoying touristy places. Beaches are well-preserved.
Really beautiful surroundings, great place for hikes too.

Las Galeras was quieter than the last time we came.
Las Galeras was quieter than the last time we came. We had lunch and dinner at L'aventura de john and the good food is always there. we had our own vehicle, so it was easy to move around even if the main road is temporarily in bad shape due to some work. The best with our 3 teenagers was to spend the day at the beach

Si quiet and so quaint , restaurants are so family oriented the food and the area surrounding el pelicano is like living in a fairy tale, loved it , I’m definitely going back again on my next trip to the Dominican Republic
Beautiful (almost wild) beaches, amazing plants/ nature, tranquility, no crowd, great food. You'll find plenty of attractions: El Limon waterfall, horse riding, Boca del Diablo, el Ricon beach and lagoon, boat trips, real Dominican households, Rio Frio, marble mines and much more. What I would do better next time - I would avoid the east part of DR (Punta Cana, Boca Chica, La Romana, Santo Domingo etc) and hit directly to Samana.

The property was run by a very friendly Argentinian couple who were welcoming and very helpful. The location was excellent, both near the beautiful La Playita and the Las Galeras town and beach. the apartment was very tastefully furnished with everything you needed, including drinking water, coffee…the private terrace was great and a lovely garden with small swimming pool.
