An amazing location right at the heart of the old town, located in an old building but sporting an elevator yet (not something you see often in hotels located in such places), with bars and restaurants aplenty in 30-sec walking distance. The room was huge for its price, and you get your own private sauna to enjoy (although you'll have to take turns if there are more than two of you, it's small). Comfortable bed, nice sofa, two WC's, espresso machine with free capsules, and a continental breakfast included in the price - it's a huge value for its money.
Located in the center of Tartu, on the edge of the Old Town, Art Hotel Pallas, renovated in May 2020, offers modern, air-conditioned rooms with an LCD TV with satellite channels and free WiFi.

Tartu has lots of places to visit, the old town, the walks along river, the parks, gardens, churches, views of city from Toome Hill, there are lots of museums to visit, including the Estonian national museum in Tartu, at an old USSR air base, which you can walk around, there is also upside down house close to that museum,.
The local buses are great to use, either use bank card at front of bus, or, buy Tartu bus card at any R Kisok, and add money to it, there is also a free bus to the big shopping center just outside Tartu, which has many shops, bars, restaurants, supermarkets, cinemas, hotels, diy stores, and other places, you can spend nearly all day there.

A hidden gem in the Baltics.
A hidden gem in the Baltics. Tartu is a stunning little town with loads of character. It is scenic with a stunning riverfront, sprawling parks, and numerous historic sites to visit as well as a magnificent street art/murals are numerous buildings throughout town and surrounding residential areas. Tartu also has some truly exceptional restaurants, from upscale Michelin starred places to more affordable and relaxed dining with loads of character - especially in the hipster quarter (check out restaurant Aparaat).
Highly recommend visiting this small town with big personality.

Small, beautiful and picturesque city of Estonia.
Small, beautiful and picturesque city of Estonia. Two to three days are needed to see the sights and feel the student pulse of the city. The University, the river, the museums, the observatory hill, the wonderful square with its small shops, the beer bars and a few surroundings "fill" perhaps unexpectedly the days of Tartu.

Bike infrastructure + city bike rental = ♥

National museum was interesting not only because of expositions, but also because of complex system, when all the descriptions are shown in your language(I think there are RFID in the tickets which you then use to switch language)
Interesting mix of modern and old across the buildings/architecture
A lot of different small things that makes living more comfortable

Extremely good location in center, with private parking lot. Reasonably comfortable rooms. Have recently introduced contact-free check-in and check-out, with phone app for the room key, which is innovative for Estonia and rather comfortable to use. There is still friendly staff available at reception, you can contact in case of need.
I wanted a place a bit far from the city center to enjoy my walk there, and I got it. The location is a proper estonian private wooden house, complete with a small garden and nice hosts (who live in the same house). There's a bus stop nearby, and few cafes (which I added to OSM / Organic Maps).
The location near to university library was excellent for a study trip. The apartment was cute and cozy. There was possible to make some tea/instant coffee. Wood-heated oven and good-night-view to observatorium and Estonian flag gave good vibes.
