The location is amazing .. you can do sand boarding, go for a boat ride, horse riding all without leaving the hotel.
The staff is amazing and super helpful
The spring mattresses they used are very hard to sleep on, there are simple quick things they can do to make it better, removing all the broken stuff behind the restaurant area, upgrade mattresses, add some board games maybe .. its a great and very unique location.. just not taken care of the way it deserves.

The staff, especially Mario, were very helpful. The view out in the desert around the tents is spectacular, especially at sunset. The campfire and sand boarding were very nice, and they even have beer to drink and hookah/sheesha to smoke for a cost. The ambiance of the site was absolutely stunning.

The view of the lake is lovely, and the dinner I had there was delicious. I’d go back to stay here :) one of my favorite things is that there are cozy nooks to sit and read in or enjoy the views of the lake or the stars.

Really fantastic house, probably even better than the photos. Great location in Tunis Village, and an easy walk to some great restaurants in the village. Excellent facilities, including air conditioning. Only disappointment was that we weren't staying longer!

I sent four nights in Michael's parents' house and frankly it was fantastic experience. I was provided the whole second floor with mini kitchen and bathroom. As a bonus, there was space for parking my scooter in the yard. Michael's mom cooked tasty breakfasts and dinners for me (I strongly suggest choosing this option) and his father helped with everything I asked for. There are all kind of shops around to buy grilled chicken, sweets and water. Qasr Rashwan is ideal location if you want to explore Qarun lake on you own (petrified forest etc.). Michael and his wife are very nice open-minded people, and we immediately became friends. If I am ever coming back to Faiyum, I will certainly stay with them again. Thank you sooo much!

What a beautiful little surprise this little creative village people live ib community and ooooo i love all the little pottery shops.. i am curious how this town will look in 5 years .. seems very upcoming! I come back with empty bags
Exquisite, stylish, relaxed, restorative, rejuvenative and incredible.
It's exactly my kind of accommodation and is not for people who want hotel convenience, but anything you could want was provided for, by request. The resort staff were absolutely beautiful, not intrusive and available at any point for anything.
The food was to die for.
And REAL COFFEE that was so well made. Every meal was special, and created with heart. I truly loved it, I could have lived there.

Beautiful genuine place.
Beautiful genuine place. People are very friendly and talented. Amazing pottery works and workshops. A lot of activities like horse riding, pottery lessons, birds watching and boats in the lake. The place is very calm, relaxing and safe. Local eating places serving delicious authentic Egyptian dishes like feteer and roasted ducks also there was a good restaurant offering Lebanese cuisine. Going arround is really easy as it is all happening in almost one street. If one gets tired you can easily get a toktok for a very few pounds.

The hotel is overlooking Karoun lake (third largest lake in Egypt). It’s a historic hotel where many world leaders stayed-the most famous was Winston Churchill. It kept some of its old glory in contrast with the simple and somewhat under developed city of Fayoum. Near by attractions are the little village of Tunis known for its famous pottery shops. If you have time you should also consider a safari trip into what is known as the valley of whales where many fossilized whale skeletons have been discovered; an unforgettable experience.
