Check in was chaotic. 2 people trying to check in about 6 groups of people. Beds are rock hard and not comfortable at all. There was hair in the bed and one of the duvet covers had blood on it which we asked them to change. Not enough seating at breakfast time.

Very good hotel for the category of 4 stars in Egypt.
Most other 4 stars hotels are not the same.
In spite of old building in tiny street but hotel room has all new amenities to the standard.
Staff are so cooperative the fat man in reception and the young lady in kitchen.
Good internet and air conditioning and fridge and heater in bathroom.

There are NO money exchange places. In regular banks it is too crowdy. Do not bring euros because here 1 eur = 1 USD!? Credit card accept everywhere, even in small shops. Do NOT rent a car! Way they drive is unacceptable! Taxy is very cheap. Petrol price is 0,30-0,40 euro so you can drive around city for few euros. Old russian car Lada should be mandatory photoed - it is impossible they still work! A lot of them? Do not react if you see man pissing in the middle of the street! Museums should be mandatory visited! A lot of things to see! Very picturesque country! Recommend!

If you like an ancient history it is a place for you.
If you like an ancient history it is a place for you. But do not expect something like Dubai or UAE. Nothing in common.
PS You can always get a taxi on the street. For little kids it is not so comfortable.

My trip to Alexandria DID NOT fullfill my expectations. Why?
My trip to Alexandria DID NOT fullfill my expectations. Why? I came here to turn back the clock and to follow in Alexander the Great and HIS CONTEMPORARIES footsteps and such footsteps are no longer there. It is not to say I wish I did not go. But I am not a typical tourist. I am a TRUTH seeker, a believer that I must see something with my own eyes to believe what I have read or heard. And that was it: I SAW IT, so now I can ...put it down to expertience. Of course it was a pleasure to see the beauty of this charmingly situated sea city. I also found it uplifting to realize that Alexandria has been trying to preserve and resurect its few existing remnants of the past and help us and new generations learn about it (Alexander the Great Library is a glorious example). I was there in the winter (December) in two rainy days so I will not speculate about pleasures of ourdoors.

Everybody told me: Alexandria is the relaxed city, with more western vibe. That's not true: louder, dirtier, bigger traffic, crazy loud muezzins, garbage everywhere (yes, it's worse than Cairo). I could miss it, not recommend it.

Alexandria is beautiful.
Alexandria is beautiful. One should just sit at the shores of the Mediterranean and enjoy the blue water and sky. The Citadel of Qaitbay, the Alexandrine Library, Pompey's pillar, the Catacombs, and the Roman Amphitheatre can be enjoyed thoroughly over a couple of days without any rush. Try the shrimp curry or the salmon in Paradise Inn Restaurant. Walk the streets and drink tea at the local stalls where you will find people sitting and just lazing around and drinking tea, and playing perhaps a game of dice. Some play. Some watch. No one seems to be in a hurry. The local market is bustling with a variety of fishes. The local bazaar is huge where no one bothers you while you walk amidst the throng of people. But, of course, the highlight of Alexandria is the blue of the Mediterranean.

Wish I had one more day to enjoy it without early wake up call. Visiting library is must, catacombs, the citadel and jewelry museum. Recommend taking a horse carousel along the Cornish to the citadel. Have dinner at the Greek club , walking distance from the citadel. We had superb birthday fish dinner.

Amazing hotel, loved everything about it , it should be a 5 stars , it’s the cleanest hotel where I stayed in Egypt, the rooms are huge with comfortable beds , I had a beautiful view over the main square and sea view , breakfast is fabulous, the chef will make for you fresh omelets or pancakes, I’m really happy that I stayed here on my last night in Egypt, also the staff is very nice and helpful!!!
Dina is the nicest person in Alexandria! She was so welcoming! Communication was smooth. It's a room in a spacious Egyptian apartment with nice furniture, peace and quiet. Only several minutes from the centre by Uber. Dina prepares a delicious breakfast on request which you need to have a spare stomach for. I couldn't recommend more!
Location is awesome (easy for UBER)
View is amazing , hotel is calm and peaceful.
I asked for room service (dining) at a very late time .. The kitchen went above and beyond and had the found made for me. I swear it tasted amazing. Egyptian cuisine and it was super. Thank you so so much .. Had fun
