It is in a very quiet location, just the birds and the cow bells. It had been a long trip from Portugal getting there, so we stayed two nights to recover. Breakfast was freshly served and we could sit inside or out under their veranda. The restaurants are mainly in Zarautz about 15minutes away. They typically open late in the evening, after 8pm. The first night we found a tapas type bar, which was Ok The second night we went on the owners recommendation to Telesforo, restaurant which she booked for us, and it was superb.

Stoke Surf Hostel is an absolute gem nestled in the beautiful rolling hills of Basque Country. If you're looking for a place with great vibes, social atmosphere, and fun, this is the spot! It's not a 5-star resort, but honestly, the good energy and community more than make up for it.
Every day you can join in for yoga sessions, hang out with fellow travelers, and end the day with awesome communal dinners. They have a ping pong table too! Speaking of which, Anna, the hostel manager, is a legend—super friendly and always around to help out and she absolutely slays at ping pong! Don't say I didn't warn you if you challenge her ;)
This is the hostel you want to go to if you're looking to make new friends and get out of the city!

I liked its history and the warm welcome and the views put to the beach and sea were stunning .
The staff were exceptional. The house itself is beautifully renovated and really quite luxurious. Kitchen facilities and breakfast were also amazing. It’s a definite 5 star hotel and deserves well over a 10/10. I will definitely stay there again if I get the opportunity to return to that area.
Extremely helpful & friendly staff. Clean, comfortable rooms & beds. Food, wine & beverages available onsite, which is good since hotel/albergue is several miles out of town. Beautiful views. Nice breakfast selection provided.
