Alarcon was a great stopover on our way to Murcia but it was VERY quiet (which was good and bad) and there was only 2 places to eat in the evening. Nowhere to have breakfast so we were very pleased that we had a self service breakfast (tea/coffee and toast) in the house before heading off. The rooms are beautifully done and the breakfast prepared personally by the owners and served in the shared space was outstanding. We decided last minute to find a location outside of the bigger towns on our way from Madrid to Alicante and picked Alarcon. Wow!
